Got an allocation that’s in 112 for an AWD. Production date is Week 36 (first week of august).

I asked if the camera issue is affecting new allocations too and my SA said it should only be affecting existing ones that are on stop sale. Hope that’s actually the case because I’m anticipating an October delivery and would hate to wait even longer.

Week 36 would be September I think. Week 35 is the last week of August

Order placed mid July - build week 41 confirmed at the beginning of August. That will translate into early November delivery.

Week 41 is Oct 11 to 17. You really expect it to ship over in 2-3 weeks (assuming you’re East coast)? I’m West Coast in week 37 (mid September). Not expecting to see it until at least December.

I'm European and we're border-neighbors with Germany, so yeah - 2-3 weeks is perfectly doable

Anyway to see allocations without having a dealer? I'm being told by one dealer he's not worried about it and can find one, but every other dealer in the state is saying they don't have any allocations and that no one else in the state or nearby states have any (Oregon). One dealer suggested finding a dealer in Texas cause they would have more allocations.

The dealer can. Why don't you just place an order with the dealer that says they can get one? Just write on the order "customer will receive a production number no later than xxxx or they may cancel this order without penalty"

Im trying to shop around right now to get the best possible deal. They're charging me msrp which is better than some other dealers charging 3-5k extra but maxed out their MF and aren't budging. They're also not guarantee a spot they're just saying "I'm sure I can get one" but then I'm also trading in my car so they want it now before the value goes down again. So don't want to do that and then be SOL because there's no spots.

Ah, got it. I think the best "deal" is getting an allocation!

Agreed but I'm not dying to get into a m3. If I can get a good price and a spot I'd do it but if I can't get a good price, it's not worth it. I have 21 m340 with a payment that's half of what they're offering so I can hold out if I need to. I was just hoping to use the high market to break even on exiting this lease without major losses

Where have you ordered? Have you ordered 360 cameras or Harman Kardon audio?

Why would you agree to a bad deal when they don't even have an allocation? Reach out to some brokers - it's well worth the fee to not have to deal with any of it.

I haven't agreed to anything. I'm still shopping around currently. There's only like 5 bmw dealers in all of Oregon.
1) Portland wants 5k over msrp,
2) Beaverton says that can't get a spot and aren't interested in working with me
3) Salem wants msrp but capped out their MF at .00133 and not going lower and saying they "aren't worried about getting a build spot but need to trade in my current car now", big risk and not a good deal
3) Eugene the sales manager was very upfront and said no dealers on the west coast can get allocation at this point and suggested dealers in Texas. He then took time to search my spec and found one in Seattle(who it looks like is selling 5k over msrp)
4) Bend said they can't help
5) Medford(almost 5 hour drive from me) wants my business and said they can try and beat Salem so waiting to hear back from them.

I've used brokers before and found them to be hit or miss but I should check with a broker. If Medford falls through I might just hold off until demand drops or wait another year

most Northeast dealers are at MSRP with no MF markup or finance rate markup

Finding the allocation is the hard part these days
