Allocations are given out based upon production capability/schedule and how many of the specific model the dealer retailed the prior month. If the dealer traded out an allocation that hurts their next month allocations.

This is what I’m waiting for , seems like less allocations for G82 awd although from what I’m led to believe all G80/G82 allocations are flexible and can be interchanged.

Market launch in August for AWD so even if it arrives the dealers are not supposed to deliver to customers till then. We've seen exceptions with RWD models though.

Anyway I believe the main factor will be getting on a boat. Some cars are getting stuck at the German port for several weeks!

Just wanted to make everyone aware that it looks like BMW is now offering the Fiona Red Carbon Buckets. I have an M3 Comp AWD allocation set for 8/34 production week that I was able to modify to Fiona Red with the Carbon Buckets. Tartufo was the only color that was limited to standard seats.

I ordered on june 8th.
Individual Tartufo full leather interior, and "individual" Tanzanite Blue II paint, although this is not a real individual, as it was offered as one of the available paints in configurator.
I ticked all the options except for:
- Sunroof (fan of CF roof)
- Driving assistants (I dont want the car to tell me what to do)
- Display Key (got it in my current X5 and for me its just a useless feature)
- Gesture control, as I got it deactivated all time in my X5
- 360º parking and wireless charging, both not being available at spanish market so far, due to chip shortage

Payed 120.000eur, MSRP 140.000eur, 14% off.

Tartufo and Tanzanite sounds like a nice combo. I ordered mine on 25th May, I just hope production won't be affected by any chip shortages.

Unfortunately the market is still in a state of surreality. The mark-ups in the SoCal area aren't going anywhere at the moment. People have gone out of state just to get cars at MSRP. Riverside BMW may do MSRP on an ordered car. I can put you in touch with someone.

So it's not just dealers taking them into inventory, it's actual sales of the cars too?

That might be keeping a lot of these CA dealers from getting new allocations for AWD models. With their markups I'm seeing a lot of M4s for instance on Cars.com that seem to be sitting at dealers. If they're not moving them, presumably they're having a hard time getting new allocations. Especially with allocations tight across the country (here on the East Coast, some dealers were only getting 1 or 2 at the start of June).
