I would do the Xpel Stealth instead. Looks just as good and easy maintenance. Here is my BSM X3MC with Xpel Stealth: https://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1773906

Looks incredible! I have to stop looking at threads like this, I'll start getting tempted to trade in my F82

I have to say I couldn't tell the difference between where it was wrapped and one of the same painted cars with no wrap. It's amazing stuff. I also did ceramic. Makes it so easy to keep clean. I love the Frozen black and that with the Kalami interior is next on my list. One thing of note a lot of people think that frozen paint is a flat finish which would be extremely hard to keep but the Frozen does have a satin shine to it.
Enjoy your new car.
Yes exactly, i think xpel has just done such a great job at their film. It is satin for sure and super easy to clean with ceramic. Extremely happy with the result!

Still in break-in but I can tell you I am blown away. I've owned so many different cars including several M cars but something is very different about this one. I can go on and on but in every way from acceleration, suspension feel, steering feel, and yes the tranny I think BMW nailed it.
It has brought me back to those old memories of when I got my first M car, I couldn't sleep, I spent hours just hanging out in the garage looking at it, smelling the interior, etc.. Absolutely in love.

Tint is Xpel 30% non ceramic

wow it looks so good. What does the wrap feel like to the touch? Is it how a matte car would feel or more of a smooth surface?

I totally get it bro. You'll have plenty of time to get the G8X!

Only one thing wrong here... you need darker tint!

Congrats on the car. See you around.

F82 is one of the most beautiful cars on the planet. Have no regrets.

What's with all the #fakenews in this thread about high maintenance paint?

Matte paint is more difficult to maintain. Can't polish it, car wash isn't recommended, special PH balanced shampoo needed etc…. Of course "difficult" is subjective. Some may not find it difficult. I'm comparing it to traditional paint.

This is the coolest thing about stealth vs other films. It's super smooth and you will immediately know it doesn't feel like paint however it has this slight roughness to it similar to what you would think a frozen would feel like. I suppose one would say it's a simulated frozen feel.

I'm debating between a custom blue color and a stealth wrap on a standard color, as the price would be about the same (not to mention allocations are hard to come by to get custom colors). Does anyone have good examples of other G8x colors with stealth?

Looking forward to Portimao blue with stealth, if anyone is thinking of doing that!
