The M3 by AC Schnitzer, the G80 is (almost) fully developed and featuring 590 HP

The most powerful 3-series of all time: the M3 by AC Schnitzer, the G80 is (almost) fully developed

The epitome of sporty driving at BMW, the M3, enters its sixth generation with the G80 model series. And as with its predecessors in their day, the current M3 is the most powerful 3-series of its time.

This also applies to the AC Schnitzer version. There has never been more power and driving dynamics in a 3-series than in the M3 by AC Schnitzer (G80). You can feel this extra power and sportiness in the M3 by AC Schnitzer in every driving situation: on the race track as well as in everyday driving on public roads.

You can find the complete program for the M3 (G80) here.

AC Schnitzer provides the increase in engine power with a performance upgrade from 375 kW/510 hp and 650 Nm to now 434 kW/590 hp and 750 Nm. Included in the scope of delivery for all AC Schnitzer performance upgrades there is always a country-specific warranty up to 4 years.

Performance

Exhaust for the M3 G80
A useful addition to the performance upgrade developed by the AC Schnitzer engineers is the AC Schnitzer twin sports exhaust with two carbon "Sport" tailpipes on each side. It brings to the ear what makes every tuning fan's heart beat faster: a powerful, sporty sound with improved exhaust gas flow at the same time.

AC Schnitzer performance upgrades
incl. warranty up to 4 years and homologation
for BMW M3 Competition with 375 kW/510 HP/650 Nm to 434 kW/590 HP/750 Nm
for cars with and without otto particle filter
AC Schnitzer engine optics (piggyback)

Exhaust

AC Schnitzer sports exhaust system made of stainless steel, with
two "Carbon Sport" tailpipes in right/left combination (4 pieces)
AC Schnitzer tailpipes "Carbon Sport" - Ø 110 mm (in preparation)
AC Schnitzer tailpipes "Carbon Sport" - Ø 110 mm
(approx. available in December 2021)

Suspension

With the AC Schnitzer suspension spring kit (lowering 15 - 20 mm on the front axle - the standard springs remain on the rear axle) or with the RS coilover suspension adjustable in compression (low-speed and high-speed) as well as in rebound - including lowering, every M3 driver will realize when cornering that the true feeling for driving dynamics comes from Aachen.

"Better fast than hard", this is the philosophy behind AC Schnitzer suspension tuning and you can feel it in every situation. The handling of the AC Schnitzer RS coilover suspension corresponds in principle to that of the series: good-natured load change reactions and gentle understeer at the limits are important - nevertheless, with the AC Schnitzer RS coilover suspension, significantly higher cornering speeds are possible, with absolutely comfortable everyday suitability.

AC Schnitzer RS adjustable suspension
adjustable in height continuously and
adjustable bump and rebound (low speed and high speed)
(approx. available in January 2022)

AC Schnitzer spring kit
lowering: front approx. 10 - 20 mm compared to standard suspension
rear: no lowering

Wheels/Tires

The dynamic package by AC Schnitzer is rounded off by a matching range of wheels.

The AC3 Lightweight Forged Wheels in Silver/Anthracite or Anthracite/Silver are available for the BMW M3 in 10.0 J x 20 inch. These rims realize what basically seems contradictory: less weight with the same large wheel diameters. This advantage of forged technology also influences the driving dynamics. The road holding of the M3 is improved even more by the mixed tires offered. On the front axle, the 20-inch AC3 lightweight forged rims are fitted with 285/30 R 20 tyres, and even 295/30 R 20 tires are used for the rear rims.

In addition, AC1 rims in the same dimensions are also available as 20-inch light-alloy rims. ¬

Aerodynamics

The basis of the aerodynamics package is the black front splitter on the front axle, which can be installed without further painting and which increases the downforce figures of the M3 by up to 40 kg*. This is complemented by front side wings, which were also developed specifically for the M3.

The new design package, consisting of a 4-pieced deflector set for the front fenders and two design elements for the bonnet of the M3, give the front end the finishing touch and a look all of its own.

+ 40 kg additional downforce

Design package
for the front consisting of:

- deflector set for front fenders 4-pieces and
- design elements for the bonnet, 2 pieces

At the rear of the vehicle, too, the signs point to improved downforce. Starting with the rear roof spoiler, through the rear spoiler, which provides 20 kg* increased downforce and a carbon rear diffuser, to the new Carbon “Racing“ rear wing: which in combination with the gurney flap, also available, provides up to 70 kg* increased downforce, AC Schnitzer have reached deep into the aerodynamic toolbox.

Side skirt and rear skirt protection film together with lettering complete the extensive range.

Interior

The interior design is also stylish and functional. "THE" control element, with which you have every driving situation firmly under control, is the AC Schnitzer sports steering wheel. The steering wheel rim of the steering wheel is made in a fine material mix of perforated nappa leather in black with black Alcantara. Both is joined into one unit by a light grey cross-stitch seam. With recessed grips on the right and left for the driver's thumbs and the light grey motorsport indicator with AC Schnitzer logo for center marking, orientation of the current steering wheel position is assured. ¬

Sports steering wheel
- not for vehicles with SA05AT Driving Assistant Plus
- not for vehicles with SA05AU Driving Assistant Professional
- for vehicles with SA0248 steering wheel heating is not available

The combination with the AC Schnitzer aluminum gearshift paddles, which are noticeably larger than their standard counterparts, is a further sensible optimization.

Aluminum pedals and footrests, keyholders and the aluminum cover for the iDrive Controller are also available when it comes to adapting the interior of the vehicle to its performance and sporty elegance.

Aluminum gearshift paddles, set
for cars with 8-gear Steptronic

Aluminum pedal set
for cars with manual transmission

Aluminum foot rest
also available for RHD

AC Schnitzer Keyholder

So the sixth generation of the M3 by AC Schnitzer is again everything: an absolutely everyday vehicle with pleasant comfort and, on the other hand, a sports car suitable for cornering and racing.

Enjoy!

Thanks for sharing. The rear wing and hood inserts are a little busy but otherwise a nice package. Interesting that they designed front springs only. It's got a bit of rake. I guess they get them to play nicely with the stock rear springs.

Reminds me of my old 2007 S4 that I would (these days) be very embarrassed to drive.

That roof spoiler is...an interesting touch.

Gotta agree with you. Most of those parts look tacky.... Almost have an AutoZone feel to them

The exhaust sounds good. Everything else ranges from okay to downright rice. Who puts plastic stickers on their car?

Did AC Schnitzer elicit tuning ideas from a focus group of the 15-18 year old demographic?

Totally agreed the rear wing didn't go well with the car.

This is a mess. Whatever team thought that this is visually pleasing needs to be let go.

Baffles me how these companies are staying in business. That is the same exact roof spoiler they have been using since I had one on my 2000 E46.

The rest of the stuff is tacky as hell too.
