xDrive G80 M3 Dragy tested times: 3.2s 0-60, 11.3s @ 121.3 1/4 Mile

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Lots of you asked for my bone stock G80 xDrive times…here you go (JB4 and mid pipe next week).

Details:
- everything stock (just got car Sunday)
- 1,200 break-in performed (at 1,150)
- could have done better, only 5ish runs, traffic
- temp 80 degrees
- very high humidity
- tires at normal pressure fronts 108 degree, 102 rears
- 1/3 tank of 93 octane pump gas
- 1 passenger (me, 180lbs) and a golf bag in the trunk

Drive settings:
- Normal Launch Control engagement (for all runs)
- 4WD Sport (shift point 3 as needed)
- Never did one in 4WD
- Launched in 1st gear (all)
- Not a real straight line (lane changes)
- LC held for about 5-7 seconds, seem to peak at 3-3,500 hundred and wouldn't go higher

I'm sure this forum of experts will slice and dice this but overall very happy with the performance and trap speed…it pulls.

Nice times and pretty much in line with what people expected out of the Xdrive. 2-3 10ths in both 0-60 and 1/4. Maybe 3-4 MPH off 1/4 trap due to weight? I would think cold weather would improve on all of that. Should be a monster with JB4/DP and awd traction.

my favorite stat is that you got the car on Sunday and already hit the break-in by today.

Hilarious, forgot that point.

Normal LC engagement, it worked flawlessly, it's my M2 button, numbers were achieved all with this setting, have not messed w this yet:

- 4WD Sport (shift point 3 as needed)
- Never did one in 4WD
- Launched in 1st gear (all)
- Not a real straight line (lane changes)
- LC held for about 5-7 seconds, seem to peak at 3-3,500 hundred and wouldn't go higher

Thanks for this FinalV8 what are your driving impressions so far? Have you had a chance to compare it to the 2wd comp?

His density altitude is horrible. These times would be even faster at sea level.

This is in line with what I thought. Quite a few members thought we can hit high 10s and I didn’t think that was possible. I’m a little disappointed with the trap speed though. I was hoping 123-125. Maybe with lower temps.

Thank you for finally positing a 1/4 mile time. Curious what a 60-130 pull is.

I am guessing he is an 11.1 at sea level with a 122/123 trap.

I don’t think it can achieve that close to m5 numbers. The m5 is trapping at 129…5 mph over another is typically a whole different league.

I think low 11.1 or so and 123 at sea level is possible.

He had a passenger in the car are you guys ok???
The guy didn't even have a straight away for these pulls.. he kept changing lanes. WOW the number of haters on here is unreal. I promise there will be someone on here who will run atleast a 10.9. You guys are truly ridiculous.
He stated 1 passenger(me), so just one person in the car. FYI
I can see a 11.1-11.2…still very fast.

10.9 VS 11.2 or whatever is irrelevant to me (yes changing lanes was an issue and only myself in car, so I can do better).

It's fast, fun, love the looks/power to come (KW V3, spacers, jb4, mp/dp next week), regardless it's:

- 4 door sedan
- AWD
- Extremely comfortable
- Great looking (IMO, the nose growing on me, no pun)
- Extremely safe
- Acceleration which will beat almost anything
- Ability to crush snow with correct tires (4WD) or smoke tires (2WD) is epic
- Sub $90k…

My F90C did feel faster but also felt massive compared for this. My F80 felt more pointed, toss-able, lighter but way slower. Bed time.

I can see why you plan to juice your car (said sarcastically). You already kicked inertia in the butt with those times. And of course, the car looks mighty fine. Keep up the good work

Any possibility to extract 100-200 kmh from your dragy runs?

I'm not seeing how it will break into the 10s stock. Low 11s for 1/4mi and low 3s for 0-60mph seems dead on for what everyone was expecting. I know there was a 3.07 0-60mph posted by a G82 M4, but that's probably an outlier.
Thanks for posting this info OP, a bunch of us have been waiting on this data.
You hit that break-in service mileage hella fast! Hahahaha

Lmao, some people were getting way too excited when a 3.07 0-60mph was posted. It will most likely need some type of piggyback, but it will easily drop into the 10s with a little bit more power.
