I have to disagree with that. As he stated, alfa sounds better and launched quicker. Fun to watch but hard to stay the M3 crushed them.

G8x with X-Drive will launch better than the Alfa's system. For being RWD, the G82 doesn't disappoint one bit.

Very cool. And rwd is definitely the handicap, here. The XDrive would have crushed everything. I didn't expect the M4 to have legs on the new RS6 Avant, though. That's impressive. I wonder if getting the xDrive would help out of the hole, but will there be enough driveline loss, for the XDrive to not pull ahead in this type of race? Only time will tell.

Agreed which is why I ordered the xdrive but the video shows the rear drive and it didn't really crush it. In fact, it required almost the entire quarter to catch up with an SUV that came out in 2017. My point is that's not a win in my book. Regardless, I'm still looking forward to trading mine in for the M on Monday.

The rolling race is the only true Indicator of power to weight. The S58 shines when traction isn't a concern because of it's top end pull. My G05 would walk a rwd G8x from a dig, but I wouldn't dare race it from rolling 40 mph or higher. If anything, these performance AWD SUVs are expected to be dumb quick in the 1/4. With that said, the stelvio quadrigfolio is an impressive SUV.

Yeah. I have to disagree. Look at the hellcat. Having great power to weight isn't great if you can't put it down. I think both launching and rolling are important.

I mean that's exactly what I was alluding to, we're not disagreeing. When traction isn't an issue, power to weight is key. Hence, why the G8x performs well in the rolling races. Traction is also why a trackhawk walks a hellcat from a dig. So, my point is that compared to the F8x, the G8x does well from a dig for being RWD. The star pattern PS4's, ZF8 speed and the car starting in 2nd gear all are playing factors. Torque is more linear, and the ZF is better at not lighting up the rear tires in launch control. The only thing we're disagreeing on is which car was more impressive, but that's all based on perspective at the end of the day

I don't understand what the driver of the M4 meant when he says "it takes off in second"? It is clear to me that he did not use launch control because those other cars would not have been able to pull on him as they did. That's my opinion.

I am surprised that Alfa made it through all these tests without limp mode or check engine light.

They probably brought 3 of them to make sure they complete good races 😆

I like this look on suv better then on sedan, interior is still like 4 cylinder Gullia and price tag to match X5m

Was a bit disappointed by rs6, surely not what an older rs6 was compared to competitors at that time

I don't understand these comparison videos. Are they just for clicks and interest or are people actually on the fence over what care they want? Do these videos sway you? Some of these guys compare non comparable cars. I just don't get it.

It's entertainment and bragging rights. Not sure why you wouldn't get it as it's pretty straightforward. Hundreds of thousand of clicks kind of shows that some people have interest in this even if you don't.

I'm not surprised about the RS6 Avant, my customer has a 2021 that he's had me drive for over 500 miles over the past year and it honestly felt disappointingly slow from the driver seat. Does not give the same impressive feeling of acceleration of the current E63 AMG or M5.

Carwow makes the videos as a way to promote their car buying / selling services and I'm sure the Youtube ad revenue is a significant source of income for them as well. The videos are just supposed to be fun to watch and controversial matchups help get the video shared more often.

Xdrive does 0-60 in 3.07 from standing, which is damn fast. I haven't seen trap numbers for it, but it will take a dump on a hell of a lot of cars
