I had the Carbotech 1521s on my C7, all they really did, for me, was change the color of the brake dust.

Also, realize that you're sacrificing some stopping distance, with aftermarket pads. If you spend a little time in Mexico, and need the brakes to work, don't heavily rely on aftermarket pads. The compound of the pads is what causes the dust, but the compound of the pad, also determines the stopping power.
