Looks like a Kia GT line from the front.

"Awkward" was the first word to pop into my head. Not my style, but I'm sure BMW has done their homework.

Overall, it could grow on me.

But that purple is an awful color to see the design language on a new model; The camera angles also make it difficult to assess the design; from the photos, the ass end looks like a Toyota design; So does the front end below the kidneys; It gets the flagship interior; I want to see it in the flesh.

i actually really like it. more than the last 2. Though its only slightly smaller than my m340i , I'd consider it in a couple years. the triangles look fine too, and the option of black trim (at launch?) looks nice

They missed the memo, of it isn't broke, don't fix it! Was no need to "Redesign"... When maybe a few little tweaks would do! Here they went overboard and destroyed a pretty good looking car, made it look like an Asian import! Good job!
Your car has all the styling detail of a marshmallow. Only the M2 of the previous generation actually looks good. The new 2 finally looks like a sports coupe not a random two door subcompact.

It would be funny if it was M2 vs M2 but it's not. It's more like…

Sensatec(faux leather) is standard, Vernasca leather is optional. Vernasca considered to be same as Dakota from what I've read.

Lol goodness gracious this thing is ugly in stock form. Thankfully a few of its most glaring issues will be solved by a wider M2. Unlike the G80/82, I do believe I’ll grow to like it, especially with some mild modifications.

1. Headlights and tail lights are both set way too far apart. This car looks like the girl from The Queen’s Gambit grew wheels. To be fair, the tail lights on the current 2 series are also stupidly wide set in non-M2 spec.
2. The silver trim (plastic I imagine) around the bumper intakes is gaudy and ridiculous looking. Removing the chrome grill trim and blacking out those pieces will help the look immensely.
3. Power dome is very cool, but should have been saved for the M
4. No manual is not surprising but extremely disappointing. I’d never consider the M240i without one.
5. Interior seems to be an improvement all around.
6. Hate the new mirror design language- F8X was far superior.
7. The CSL style trunk is an improvement.
8. Exhaust tips are now the same stupid fake bullshit every other brand has.
9. Way too much black plastic on the rear bumper.

IMO Sensatec is amazing and low maintenance. I'd go that over Dakota if your location lets you spec it. Dakota is a very poor material.

I have replied a few times in this thread and I keep coming back here absolutely amazed that this regular series car has effing box flares and a power dome. insane.

Looks promising for a good looking M car. The colors are fantastic, but the triangles still look odd and rear is blah. Not a fan of the lame looking tail lights and lack of proper exhaust pipes.
