Its not totally unheard of. If you have a relationship with a particular dealership, you can get a hot car under MSRP. I have. Also, if a dealership needs to make a quota, you bet you can wheel and deal.

As far as I know, the builds forum members are reporting as already built and on their way are BMW builds distributed to dealerships, e.g., not individually built and ordered.

Great if the BMW build happens to match your interest. There are two such G80 M3Cs on the way to my local dealership, but neither matched my interest.

Regardless, my dealership received a chassis build from BMW and I submitted my build (shown above in prior post). I am told the build will occur 1st or 2nd week in January and vehicle should be delivered however long it takes from there to get to U.S. . . probably mid-February.

That is really interesting. My german dealer told me there is zero chance for a handout before official market release. Even if the car is there earlier no chance and prohibited from BMW. According to the dealer the german market release is 13 March 2021. But curious to see how everything unfolds

BMW NA will hold the US bound cars until the "official" market release at the VPC. It's been done before such as when the M5 launched.

I saw a pre-production M3 and M4 on display at my dealer a couple of weeks ago.

The IoM green and SPY look stunning in person. The stance for both vehicles looks amazing and extremely aggressive.

The discounts depend on The relationship you have with your dealer. I got the first F82 and the first F90 my dealerships got... still got a double digit discounts.

Loyalty... to the person, not dealerships (because I've never seen an industry that swaps GM's as much as car dealerships) means you don't need to worry about fair pricing.

Update. We learned all G8X M vehicles will have a recall on the exhaust. We hope this is a service they can provide at the port.
