Looks much better in this color. But still can't get past the front.

I've said it many times, this car is going to mod extremely well.

Man I'm with you. But the thought of "modifying" the look of a brand new 80k car is not appealing to me. And then there's the cost involved of doing that. It's kind of amusing how the forum has went from 90% hate to mostly accepting of the new grill. Me included. I guess because we have come to the realization we don't have a choice. But now...after seeing that grey car ESPECIALLY with a license plate, I'm back to a no thanks.

I like the design of the new G cars overall. I like the hood too. But that grill. If only they had put the grill from the GT3 cars on there. I mean shit, they already had it. It's basically the same concept but more rounded like the F80 and about a third smaller which left room for a plate underneath and would have looked bad ass with the new double vent hood. Errrrr!!

Anyone has a pallet or link of this specific exterior color and different interior colors?

Say what you want, it does make the F80 look somewhat dated:
the lci 2 (2018) headlights make a HUGE difference in how dated the f80 looks. I agree, if you look at that with the old headlights it makes it look dated.. but the newer ones, not so much, imo.

This doesn't look nearly as dated and I think its obvious some would still prefer the f80 looks - at least for a few more years. I think of the f80 as a shark and the g80 as a bull. Going to take some time, but since the g80 is a new car, I think its fair to use the f80 at its peak form if we're going to measure how dated it 'looks'

I couldn't find a photo of the F80 with the LCI headlights, in gray but it does help.

However, it might sound weird but I have friends that have very little knowledge of BMWs and are already saying the they want the new BMW, with the big grilles..

So, subjectively, that's how the general public, outside of this forum, sees it..

For sure.. and a large % of the people, even the detractors on this forum will buy the g80 because its the "new bmw"

especially if they are on a 3 year lease program and don't have any interest in buying out their own.

over the last 2 weeks it doesn't look as offensive to me anymore, but I really need to see some reviews of the drive from chris harris and others to really make a determination if the car is worth getting or just keeping the f series.

I've played around a little bit. I would black it out in that kind of ways, then I think it would be much better. In the last picture I've tried to put the M Performance front splitter.

I really like this color and the M3 is going to look amazing with just spacers and a drop. The wheel offset super conservative.

I'm not comparing the Stinger to the G80 so please don't start flaming me, but based on what you see in these images of Brooklyn Grey, does it appear to be close to the Stinger color? Brooklyn Grey looks lighter to me but these are different lighting conditions & cameras...

I feel like my F8X looks dated, but I still like the way it looks.

I think it's in the same flat gray look, it often looks darker to me though, the stinger, all the Brooklyn photos so far have it looking slightly lighter (more white?)

Definitely make a difference. The old school halo headlights we all knew and loved for decades look like they're from the '90s to me now.

My LCI 2.0 M3 CS still looks very dated to me.

I love it so much.
It looks like an exotic in the shape of a sedan. It looks very expensive too.

Exactly!

I am confident this new model / generation will be a huge hit. Looking at the auto market. Everyone is trying to look more aggressive and distinct. One thing people have said in the past about BMWs was how conservative it looked. Now this may be good for some. But for a lot of the general buying public, they want that aggressive look and more of a statement

Now the only question for me is... Brooklyn Grey or Skyscraper Grey.

Anybody have a picture of Skyscraper Grey yet? I am assuming that Skyscraper will be a darker Grey closer to what the current Mineral Grey is now.

I like this idea, but above the plate in between the grilles, I would leave it body color. I was also playing with the grille frames below the plate being black. Leaving the rest of the bumper above the lower air intakes body color as well.

I’m moving from a maybe to a probably on this color. I’m getting the M4 and I think the cold, industrial look of this color will help balance the somewhat soft lines of the M4 resulting in a more aggressive look.

This is the color.

Probably wouldn't lower it as much as the Photoshopped pic. It's borderline slammed. I would need another half inch separation.
