First Scheduled Service

Hey guys,

I just got an email from my dealer that my scheduled first service is coming up. I am wondering what's included in this first service? I am assuming oil change, but what else?

Note: I already had the 1200 mile run-in service and it was done at the same dealer.

I don’t think there is a tire “rotation” for a staggered wheel fitment.

The maintenance sighted/posted must be generic and not specific for a BMW M3.

You can rotate them left/right. PS4S/P Zeros are non-directional so they can swap sides, you'd have to have the tire swapped on the rim since they're asymmetrical tread, though.

My first oil change after break in they did the oil change and filter element. They incorrectly made the break in the first CBS count. And now at 20k I just got air filter and spark plugs. I’ll take it since I got the ultimate care scheduled and am good until 75k!

$100 goes to anyone who’s asked a BMW dealership for a tire rotation and the dealer swapped sides left to right.

I’m including non staggered wheels.

Are you doubting anyone would say yes to a rotation that’s just left to right on staggered but not directional tread tires? You’ve never done those?

My first service after break-in was just undercarriage check, oil and oil filter change. I've never heard of tire rotation being included - I've been asked in the past (with my old 5 series) if I wanted to have it done but they were going to charge me like $90 for it.

Tire rotations are so easy to do in the garage, it’s not worth paying for it. Jack up the front and flip and jack up the back and flip. Easy peasy.
