Ordered my M4 on 3rd of July with a delivery no later than 30th of March! I have been informed this week that there might be some delay. The delivery is tentatively scheduled for the week of 11th of April.

Looking at the video and reading some posts, I understand that BMW has a very special way of managing customer orders…

Anybody in these comments who believes Joe got his car early because of his you tube status or his money being so called different is absolutely lost.

It's just luck of the draw simple as that some take forever and a day and get delayed and some come quicker than others and that's just the way it goes.

Anybody would think your dealing with a brand like Ferrari or something where status tends to come into play 🤷🏽*♂️

And as a few have said his actual order reality wise would of been placed way before his video dropped and it also would of been a shorter journey it heading to the UK opposed to it going to the US.

None the less regardless of peoples thoughts congrats to him on the new car as it would of taken hard work for him to get it nobody just placed it on his lap.

I'm reminded of one thing, my dealer better not drape my car for a reveal or put that stupid red bow on it. I can't believe adults celebrate in such an attention calling manner, but I guess that is what the modern world is all about.

To be fair, some dealerships do this on their own. I have picked up M3's in the past - as far back as 2002 - and rolled up to find a big red bow on it. I didn't ask for that. The dealership decided to do that on their own. My buddy's 992 arrived at the dealership 3 days ago and the dealership is holding it for a week so they can "display it in their showroom." Dealerships do weird dealership things.

Joe's one of the few YouTubers I follow and find his videos informative and relatively unbiased.

Dravit Grey with the red interior is probably the best looking spec I've seen on the G80 to date, very nice!

You got screwed by your dealer, most likely had to wait for an allocation for them... 8-9 month is crazy unless you've got some very special individual stuff going on. 4 month for an M car is about right be it for me or Joe there, seems normal delivery times to me.

you were lucky. I've pre ordered my car the 25 january 2021, confirmed (Xdrive) the 4th july, allocation and build number the same day. Bumped 8 times! I'll drive it for the first time on friday, finally.

But there are several users here who are experiencing a huge delay, Loma for instance, who ordered an M3 Xdrive in may! And He still doesn't know when it'll be produced.

If Joe (by the way, I really like his videos!) waited only 4 months, this is the proof that some markets doesn't mind for BMW, and maybe an english customer is more important than a Polish or an Italian one, and this is so sad.

Obviously for The UK market, it doesn't have to spend 28days on a ship. We can pretty much get it one-two weeks after it's finished build.

Also, I don't believe our cars suffer from the same stop sales and QA issues as US stuff does. All in all, it makes for an easier process. I would confidently say that they don't favour our market more than they do yours.

IMO the main reason that he was waiting less than others is very simple - Joe is the real influencer => he is helping BMW to sell much more(!!!) G80s than most of forum users here

Some of you can be pissed, but c'mon - create YT channel, start a blog and review a lot of cars, keep doing this of few years and review your dream car (e.g. in 2025-2028). I believe you will get very short allocation then others - win-win!
