I thought it was that company owned by the South African "electric car" guy who got subsidized education in Canada, and before that Russians.

I any case, the lack of fine-grained tracking for these German cars in some regions is puzzling. I wonder if it is due to localization (i.e., language support) or privacy laws or something like that. I'd think it would be easy to enable for features parity in any MyBMW region.

Frankly, I'm surprised any car company would have tracking like this. I guess it takes a little pressure off dealers. It was likely just a novelty idea in the beginning.

It's awesome, no idea if any other manufacturers do it. I think I'll call BMW Customer Service today and make see if I can find out if it is coming for other regions.

I also need to figure out how to track the ship once my car is loaded.

It seems like the regions are run independently. BMW North America does have this tracking tool, but their build your own feature usually lags other regions. Not just with new models, but even Fiona Red and the 2 other newer interior colors didn't appear on the configurator until will after other regions had it.

In my opinion, BMW should pull some functions up to the parent for a more cohesive experience. But, what do I know. Maybe there's is a good reason for how it's currently set up.

It is possible! There's 2 shifts in the Munich factory, production is 5 days a week and they produce around 1000 cars each working day.
