Check with bmw fs or the dealership.

I know a lease is lease only an the application doesn't transfer across banking lines with bmw fs or dealerships
I suppose that makes sense. I assumed that it would be applicable for both since I’m taking out a loan for both scenarios 😅

I had the same question last year when i applied for my loan through BMWfs and no one was able to provide a concrete answer.

Which loan option did you opt for? Was it different than the initial option you chose?

I chose traditional option while applying my BMWfs loan but ended up taking the loan through my CU. Here is the thread regarding that discussion.

Oh, yeah! I remember reading through your thread. It was good information. Combing through your thread, it sounds like select should work if I’m locked in for 4.99. What confused me was that with the 90 days lock, I need to still get my credit pulled again when I go in to do paperwork. At least that’s what my CA was telling me~

Rate lock was for 90 days (east coast) and 120 days (west coast) last year when manufacturing and logistic days were very common. Not sure if its still the same or its reverted back to 60 days (east coast) and 90 days (west coast) like the pre covid days.

Just a heads up for anyone in the market for 24 M4

I/my admin called 197 dealers across the country the last 7 days to find a 2024 M4 Xdrive Comp allocation as I wanted to order an individual color.

Results
-190 No we do not
-6 Yes, for 1-5K over MSRP
-1 Yes, MSRP

Next Level Auto Brokers is the person who helped me find what dealers actually had allocations. One of them got it done for me and got my individual color accepted today.

I was hoping for a 2-3k discount but that was not a reality. Maybe it was for a brief time in February or for cars on the lot. But allocations seem to have smaller #s than I expected.

Agreed and this is for BMW FS. Private financing like a credit union typically only do shorter terms - so factor that into your calculus.

My previous post was a reply to a specific question regarding BMWfs.

Some CUs offers good rate lock period as well. I have financed most of my vehicles through my CU and their rate lock is valid for 60 days.

Applied to Armco end of february (3.20% advertised rate) but my car was still in transit. They said they will honor the rate until April 30th. Car got to the dealer yesterday and I just signed the paperwork to get a check overnighted from Armco to dealer. Super smooth process, the messaging system with Armco is great. Quick responses throughout the process.

Apparently no loyalty for this month. $1519/month with a total of $2900 out of pocket. 62% residual 36/10. Can anyone chime in on if this is a good deal?
How recent of a college grad do you need to be?

Got it. I was more curious how a recent grad was spending $100k on a car!

It aint that hard of math, see in NYC you make 100k not hard. Just gotta go easy on the rims and potholes. They said you can buy a car equal to your yearly salary (especially if two income family). 100k salary isnt easy to come bupy but some grads with confidence got that

Sure. There’s also the personal disposition q of feeling comfortable/confident to spend that money on a car when you’re first starting out. But that comes down to personality
