[R44 Performance]

Hello everyone, we just finished up a day of drag runs at Santapod Raceway, here in the UK. We wanted to share some of the results we, as well as Tom Wrigley Performance, have been getting with our highly tuned BMWs.

Our Stage 3 BMW G80 M3 xDrive

It was time to head out to the season opener Drag event here in the UK - “Run what ya brung” at Santapod Raceway in our 2022 1,000 bhp BMW G80 M3 xDrive finished in Individual Mexico Blue.

We used this day to see what our 1,000bhp G80 was really made of! The car’s record so far has been a 9.3 sec ¼ mile @ 145MPH, but we did not expect to beat this at this event due to us showing up with nearly bald road tires! Currently running PS4S 295/30/20 rears and 275/35/19 front.

But we were not let down! Rhys managed to walk home with a personal best of 9.59 sec ¼ mile @ 145mph running our Map 2 on full ethanol thanks to the help of Tom Wrigley and Mike Ball’s magic alongside the Pure Stage 2, CSF Cooling Package and gearbox from Pure Drivetrain Solutions.







Then it was time to see what Tom’s 1 Series was made of.

Tom Wrigley’s 1XXXHP xDrive Converted BMW M140i




Introducing Tom’s BMW F20 M140i xDrive, converted to 4-wheel drive by Tom Wrigley Performance. This isn’t a car the US market got unfortunately. If you’re not familiar with it, it’s essentially a hatchback version of the F22 M240i. The M140i was only available in rear wheel drive from the factory here in the UK, so Tom converted it using a modified OEM BMW xDrive system.







The car features a built block, TWP top-mount turbo kit with Precision Turbo made in the UK by Overkill Performance and, of course, a Pure Drivetrain Solutions gearbox and transfer case.




This car has definitely shocked a lot of people worldwide… Running a 9.24 sec ¼ mile at 149.71mph making it the fastest BMW M140i worldwide but due to traction issues we were only able to run a 9.45 sec ¼ mile @ 148mph yesterday, still making it the worlds fastest!



Next Mods for Tom’s M140i

The goal to reduce IATs on Tom’s M140i will be made possible by the CSF Race X B58 manifold to be used in either dual or single pass configurations and feature a new front port that has been optimized for ice box setups. The larger core has 15 cooling rows (vs 12 rows on the CSF #8200) and keeps up with the air flow demand while also increasing the cooling capacity. Take a look for yourself!







Next Mods for the G80 M3

Looking at yesterdays 60ft results on our G80 M3 it seems we have a lot more to improve on as we’re losing a lot of traction on the launch. This is pushing us to finalize our drag package to push us under our 9.3 sec ¼ mile personal best!

Power-wise, we believe our next steps will be some upgraded cams… these are well known for delivering huge power gains with some basic modifications.
