Hehe. Anyways, I’m 21 now (was 20 when ordered) graduated college a year early (3 year bachelors in mechanical engineering).
Placed order may of 2022 (M3CX) and graduated about a week before that.

I ran a few businesses while I was in college which gave me a head start on top of graduating early (still only 21) and now I operate liquor stores. Last year when I ordered I knew it would be a wait which was perfect in getting more capital for the vehicle. I’m also still living at home so I save on rent etc.

Now with interest rates going up, father will help me on the car and I’ll pay him back slowly making my life easier and not paying about an extra 12-14k in interest. Yeah it’s a lot.

But I’m just a car guy, I was looking for a car to purchase for about 6 months before I graduated and pulled the trigger on this car.
I’d rather spend more on a vehicle for me than other amenities and hobbies so I chose to go this route. Some will say it’s financially dumb or not smart but I’m good with my capital and know I can afford it.

& thank you!

Ps. I do not have the car yet, it’s stuck at port in Germany somewhere for about 16 days now. Sucks but it is what it is.

Results
-190 No we do not
-6 Yes, for 1-5K over MSRP
-1 Yes, MSRP

Next Level Auto Brokers is the person who helped me find what dealers actually had allocations. One of them got it done for me and got my individual color accepted today.

I was hoping for a 2-3k discount but that was not a reality. Maybe it was for a brief time in February or for cars on the lot. But allocations seem to have smaller #s than I expected.
If this is true, then my suspicion is correct that BMW is falsely just reducing production to keep the car hyped... there is NO WAY in hell that 3 model years into a car, that a car isn't readily available everywhere. This has never happened in the history of car making

E90 M3s where available everywhere at discounts, F80s same thing and only a year later... G80 nothing 3 years later... sorry I don't see 2 or 3x as many G80s on the street as I did the other gens...

Remind me again how Covid, chip shortages, and the war in Ukraine affected E9X and F8X production.

I'll remind you exactly how they no longer affect the G80...

Covid was over 2 years ago now.

Chip shortages and the war in Ukraine apparently ONLY affect the G80 / G82 and not in any way the X3, X5, X7, regular 3, 5 series, 7 series or frankly any electric model lol.

Really? Then tell me why my G82 sat in QC for 4.5 months last year waiting for parts? 🤔

This is happening with some manufacturers. GM has stated as much that they will idle plants to not over glutton the inventory so as to not have to discount vehicles like they used to.

You can say it twice or even 3 times... Covid was still 2 years ago.

Last year is not this year... if BMW is having supply issues with a singular harness and still hasn't figure out supply chain issues due to Covid or the Ukraine war specifically for the M3, it's perhaps they don't want to.

Absolutely, the've realized the M cars are now bread and butter... and people that want them will get them no matter what. Performance vehicle demand in general is the lowest its ever been with the younger generation and since the advent of the faster EVs.

They are playing a game and it's working for them... it also seems they aren't worried about losing market share because they know how die hard the fans are to get these cars... and the fact that there is less performance cars to choose from than ever.

First of all, appreciate you.
Second of all, you’re my spirit animal.
Third of all, that’s disheartening, as I’m also in the market for a 2024 M4 Comp.

This car is clearly in high demand, especially in the cold climates that AWD (AWD only offered at comp level) is so sought after.

I hope BMW isn’t doing that, and I hope the outlook is ok for my order, since I would love to sit in it by Spring, and would like to sit in it by Summer at the latest

You need the selling price breakdown (sales tax, dealer fee, etc) with residual and money factor. Without that info, no one will be able to rate your deal.

Geez. So you waited for your car to be built, then the dealer marked it up when you were talking delivery?

$1,823 a month and $113K MSRP on a leased M3? and you're putting $7k down? The world has gone nuts.

I’m not quite sure what part of his build has the msrp so high but fwiw I financed mine and with $2500 down my payments are 1670 a month. For five years sure but at the end I own it…

This actually isn't bad and spot on... Unfortunately your due at signing includes your first month, fees and 5k in taxes which comes down to a healthy down payment.

However if your taxes are 6.625 how did they calculate it as based on 43% net loss it should be about 3.3k. If your in a state which charges total value up front it should be 7500.

What are they countering with?

LVI

High msrp, state taxes and interest rates ... Equal high lease costs. Look across the board Doesnt matter the make it's all high.

Sucks this person lives in a high tax state which requires it all upfront.
