Have you guys seen the engine bearing stop sale thread? I looked up my VIN on the website and have “ There is an open technical enhancement on this vehicle. It’s the RAM module stop sale. Funny thing is the dealer doesn’t even see it yet. Go figure.

I haven't made an account on this forum until today just because I've been using it to follow my car's status in accordance to those of the same week as mine.

With this being said, I saw somewhere that someone posted that UK link and simply out of curiosity I threw mine in there and got the same code.

I then reached out to my dealer who sent me a screenshot of his view, and double checked what he told me with genius (both of them said I have no stop sale as well as no flags for anything else.)

I then asked genius why my VIN yielded those results on that site and the rep I was speaking with told me to fully ignore whatever site that is (I did tell her it was BMW UK) because they (genius) have the most accurate view/updates, with theirs being ahead of our dealers as well.

Anyways I know this post was kind of long but I just wanted to shine some light on what seems to be the fact that this website is showing inaccurate results, and to hopefully relieve some stress I know its been giving people.

What’s your current status? On a ship?

Some haven’t seen it pop up until at VPC or even immediately before delivery. I’m trying to not get my hopes up and then crushed.

I got to the port on the 6th.

I'm not saying it isn't possible that one may get a stop sale at any point along this brutal waiting experience, but I am trying to say that if you don't have one yet in accordance to what your dealer and genius is telling you, I believe its highly unlikely that the UK website is reliable.

My M4 was assembled late last week and released from the factory Monday (so call it early Week 40). Using the BMW U.K. site linked to that stop sale thread, I too found mine is subject to the RAM stop sale (but nothing else). Per the Genius agent I just reached, there's no stop sale currently (and it's not yet been assigned to any vessel). We'll see what ultimately is the case.

I'm in the same boat as you… Uk site says I have the stop sale but SA yesterday confirmed I have no stop sales and "am not effected by this issue"… allegedly. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. I screenshotted the UK page and have his text so at least I'm "covered" in case something happens later

For some reason I actually believe the UK site. Too many people haven’t seen the stop sales until way late for whatever reason.

Well, looks like the UK website was accurate. The stop-sale popped up in the system today for my SA.

Crap... I reckon it'll be the same for my week 40 build then, although I am still in quality control.

UK VDC's are extremely slow with respect to processing stop-sales (if the camera stop sale was anything to go by...), I know some folks had to wait 10 weeks for the stop-sale fix! Not looking forward to this.

Pretty sure the official UK site is accurate, as someone in the stop sale thread was actually forbidden from picking up their car from the dealer.

I seriously hope I’m wrong though.

So I have been dispatched from factory today (week 40)... as of now still showing no stop-sales on the UK recall website.

I will keep checking and if it still shows nothing when "at the port" then I will breathe a sigh of relief.

(My car is UK bound so the recall website will definitely be accurate)
