So what they are saying is AC Current vs DC Current - absolutely 100% false - The taillights are set to a way they start up - I've tested so many aftermarket Tail lights and its how its made you cant change the current they should know that you get an error code if the current goes over or under - now you can go into coding and code out the current values so you don't get a code but the problem with that you can burn the tail light so scratch that whole theory .

Sounds like we're going to need someone with an LCI to compare the BDC coding with to find out what the differences are that need to be changed and eliminate the startup flicker

Limegrntaln the ones currently on my G83 are Jerry's that you linked to. There is no startup flicker on them.
Man if you were able to get to Jerry's and he were able to look at it I'm sure he could figure it out

Man if you were able to get to Jerry's and he were able to look at it I'm sure he could figure it out
I’ve been to Jerry’s house a few times. He’s installed my CSL DRLs. I’ve tested a few sets for him. I’m not down the street, but he’s not too far to drive to. Maybe an hour from me.

Yeah you do have to pull the taillights to run the harness. It connects to the plug on the backside of each outer taillight and then you run the other end to the BDC module in the passenger footwell. Thankfully the G83 already had the requisite wiring. I still have a feeling that even with the current coding we'll have the strobe effect. My car is already coded for the Euro signals so I'll know for sure when my lights come in.

I definelty want to see if its an isolated case or its not for the 2024 and lower generation - I ran into a issue with 2024 G20 CSL Style tail lights that would flicker with the remote lock and unlock - we got it and tested on a G80 and the issue was resolved - so this may be an issue as to what model it can be put on . hmmmmm

Yeah, I had other things on the agenda. I swapped out the 826m for the 1000Ms. Pulled the fender liners, drilled and fitted the screens. Installed 13mm spacers squared. It’s already 4 my time.

Not sure if going to get to them; today. I kind of wanna drop them off at the detailer and get them PPFd. My whole car is already wrapped. Tails scratch easy, but the detailer is 25 miles away. 50 mile round trip to get them PPFd? Worse, they don’t do anything same day. So, it’s 25, come home, go tomorrow, 25, come home. 100 miles to get my tails PPFd.

Gotcha. You've been busy my man. Those 1000Ms would have been my choice of I didn't get the 827s.
Which fender clearance option did you opt for? RKP, R44 or something else?

Umm, if you paid the dude thousands for your entire car, you need to call the dude and be like… look, can you please do me a favor since you’re so far away (not really but whatever), set a time where he knows you want to wait. It’s 4 lights… how long can it possibly take? If you talk to him he can at least schedule around you waiting on them and get you in so that can happen. It’s not that big a deal, especially since you’re paying for it and you paid lots for the whole car to begin with.

I got the 1000m right before the 827s were announced, or I would have gotten a 20/20 frozen Bronze set of 827s.

They will do it for me. I brought them my OEM side skirts, OEM front lip, my Project Gamma grill, and OEM rear winglets. They wrapped them in PPF for free, after they did the whole car. So, they definitely hook me up. It’s just getting over there and how long it’s going to take. They have a 3-4 week wait to even get in there to get your car done. All the parts I listed, they kept overnight and at least 2 of them they had 2 days.

I went back out and started fiddling with the tail lights. I got all of the plastics off, I was just going to pull the carpet back to get to the inside nut. I put my socket on it, and I needed a longer extension. Pulled the extension out, and the 10mm came off the extension and fell back down behind the fuse box and down into the fender, so, I closed up shop for tonight. I’m. I’m not messing with it anymore. I have to pull the whole floor out now, to unbolt the plastic tray in the bottom corner. I started pulling this trunk trim piece off, but, I didn’t wanna break it, so, I’m packing up. I’ll figure it out tomorrow.

That trim piece has 3 or 4 push pins on the inside edge. Look in the trunk and face the rear of the car and you'll see them. After that it's just held on by friction clips. Pull straight up and it'll come loose.

You’re right. I just tried the sockets with a magnet and they’re magnetic. I don’t have anything long enough to reach back, so, I’ll go get some stuff tomorrow.

Pull 4 pushpins, 4 interference clips (mounted trunk trim part) inserted into the metal bodywork……yank and pull Rubber trunk gasket covers edge.
