No DCT on the new Ms?

Am I reading it right? Only manual (which is fine for me, great actually) or 8 speed Steptronic? Is the new Step much much improved that a DCT is no longer needed? Am I missing something? TIA

I tried to search but no returns for DCT keyword or even transmission.

You are correct and there is at least one massive thread here discussing every detail and preferences of this switch. The M5 already did the switch with the launch of the F90. The G8X get the same AT.
