First, I generally hate feeler threads but want a little feedback. I may have a trade opportunity and wanted to get an idea on fair value. I have a 2023 M3 compX 50 Jahre edition in Lime Rock Gray with 2711 total miles. In perfect shape with full front ppf. No buckets but does have ccbs. Any feedback on current value is appreciated. Thanks

IronChad How much did you sell yours for?

My guess it they won't offer more than $15k under sticker as a trade. But this also depends on how much money they are making on the new car. Do you live in a state where you save on sales tax when you have a trade?

Thanks. I do. I’m in Austin, TX. I’m still happy with the car I have and definitely don’t have to transact, so not stressing it. Should find out on trade value tomorrow I think.

BMW South Austin will give you an appraisal on their website pretty quickly, however, not sure it will account for the Jahre premium factor. I put my M4cs (F82) in for shits and giggles and the trade in was not bad.

Load some pics to this post. I have been known to do stupid shit...Cheers.

Probably 15k under MSRP. Jahre's have lost a lot of value ! Especially the ones without buckets.

Interesting.
I thought the consensus was buckets are hard to sell due to comfort and the lack of center console.

For those curious, they offered $80k trade in value and the proposed trade was for a new CS. Going to stick with the Jahre. GixY2K Buckets aren't exclusive to the CS...so you can get carbon buckets in any G80. The CS is the only G80 that lacks the center console.

Sounds about what I would have guessed - ~30K under MSRP. The Jahre was a grab on a 'limited' car but offered nothing except a color and a couple minor tweaks but then at the same time lacked things that would have made it more desirable like the CF exterior package, and full leather, but I overall I like the colors - much better than what was offered on the CS.

For sure. It was an interesting exercise for the idea of a CS. And I don’t think I would really consider myself a Jahre fanboy but really do like the color. I had actually ordered a Dravit with Tartufo CCBs which was in transit when the dealer called and offered the LRG Jahre at msrp.

I don’t think there is much premium for Jahre. CCB is not going to add any value, it’s going to be same as car without them.
Look on Bringatrailer.com and CarGurus.com

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...on-50-jahre-4/

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...on-50-jahre-2/

Doesn’t seem like people all that excited about Jahre. Maybe 10 years from now they will.

Your car with 6k miles just sold for $90k plus 5% BaT commission. I guess my estimate was good.

That’s actually pretty good and higher then previous sales.
Also goes to show that CCB doesn’t get much premium on resale

I’ve still got it. I was somewhat interested in pursuing a CS if I could find the right deal but it hasn’t happened.

Ah gotcha. If you do end up finding one and putting this one up for sale please let me know - looking for a G80 to start some suspension testing on for our Nitron kits and LRG is on the short list.

In the UK my experience is that no “extras” on a car add value on resale to trade. You will get a marginal but extra over standard car of same type.
