Silverstone interior regrets ?
I spec’d black, but have time to switch. I’ve always loved silverstone , but am worried about having my kids occasionally in it and also grime on the center console from resting my arm on their constantly while driving . Are my fears unfounded?
I have zero issues applying ceramic on the seats and cleaning up. I love auto detail. I just don’t want the seats showing stains and fading. I don’t wear jeans often, but my wife does. Long story short any regrets from owners out there long term with this color combo? I’d be pairing it with IOM. Thanks for any thoughts. |

Yup kinda wish i got a darker color, gotta clean the seats every month. Orange goes much better with iomg but you'll still need to clean it.

Had Silverstone on my Tanzanite Blue F80 and loved it. Get it coated and use a good leather cleaner every once in a while (week to 2 weeks) and you shouldn't have any problems. Very beautiful color but does take a bit more upkeep. Worth it in my opinion.

I’ve seen this being a popular combo, but wife is completely against it. As much as I like orange, I think black or white looks real classy with IOM. All subjective of course.

I’ve had it for 7 months. It still looks brand new. Had it ceramic coated. Anything the kids do cleans up easily.

I have Silverstone, and the car is used as a dog hauler and household runabout which we don’t care to baby. It still looks great and dirt comes off with minimal effort. A simple damp rag usually gets you 90% there.

I work at UPS in Phoenix where we have zero air conditioning and daily my M4 with Silverstone, it's fine and looks immaculate. I clean the interior every few weeks anyway regardless of the color.

I had AR + SS for 9+ months, 5000 miles, playing tennis every day, kids occasionally in, clients and colleagues in every now and then.
NEVER cleaned the seats, not even once. They looked brand new the day I turned the car in… |

It is annoying when kids or others get it dirty but it cleans up without any issues. I use Chemical Guys leather cleaner and a very soft brush from a shoe cleaning kit. Easy peasy. 31k miles and still looks new.

I had Silverstone / Black with TBII in my G82 for two years - really nice combination and got loads of positive comments
I ceramic coated the main contact points , like side bolsters, arms rests, interior door handles, etc and, other than giving them a wipe down every so often with a good quality leather cleaner, I didn’t have any issues with the colour (and I had teenagers in and out of the back every other weekend when they came to stay) When I traded the car in March this year after 26 months of owenership, I hadn’t cleaned the car at all inside or outside for 6 months as the new car delivery was delayed a few times, so I just didn’t bother cleaning the car as I knew it was going! It needed a good interior valet at that point as it was looking a bit grubby, however I’m confident it would’ve cleaned up like new with an hour’s effort |

No regrets with Silverstone here although yes, it is more difficult to keep clean. Black / dark interiors hide marks much more easily and there are a couple on my seats/door cards which I am not happy about, but its just wear and tear at the end of the day. It looks good though, and its worth it in my view - something a bit different and the white leather really lifts the interior in my view.

There have been multiple threads on this:
1. Those who have never owned it and think it's difficult to keep clean based on their guesses. 2. Those who have owned it and it's too much work. 3. Those who have owned it and think the slight extra maintenance is worth it. Count me firmly in camp 3. Not Silverstone, but ivory so even more opportunity for dirt but had the car 4 months and the seats are fine. Yes, they pick up dirt / jean marks on the outer bolsters. But I have them coated with Colourlock Leather Shield and it literally wipes off with a damp microfiber. I tend to clean my seats every 45 days or so anyway and it's not a bother. So...absolutely ZERO regrets. |

I'd go with black, but I'm boring.
I have some small fabric stains on Tartufo, though I expect I can remove most of it with some leather cleaner. That said, it doesn't look too noticeable since it's a comparatively darker colour. Silverstone is significantly lighter, so if you wear denim, I might suggest to steer away from it.
