Fun fact: the e24 had both a tall, nearly-connected grill and center-ish exhaust

The 3.0 CSL Batmobile (and BMW M) is 50 years on May 1st 2022... Just wanted to mention that since there has been quite a few leaks re something special going on for that anniversary... (front-mid engine, transaxle etc)
Also note the kidney grilles shape and connected center 😉 |

I think the quad center exhaust tips looked fine on the M4 coupe spy shot. It's a very sporty touch for a sports car or a GT car but not so much for a 4 door sedan with the taller proportions.

A few years ago I predicted BMW would offer factory underbody glow and I still stand by that claim

Normal placement of the exhaust tips works better in my opinion.

I'd take the e21 (or the e24!) - actually, I've already owned 2 e21s in the past. Loved my 323i, which of course is slow by modern standards, but was a hoot at the time. Not feeling the quad centre exhausts (unless it's on a McLaren or Pagani ) |

Kind of sum up this generation of M3 design - black looks the best because black color hides more design elements: that hideous grilles, now the 4 exhaust pipe in the middle...
