This confuses me... similarly to the M2 bumper pieces that surfaced recently. These cars are still months away from production. Do third parties in China really get contracts this far in advance to begin manufacturing OEM parts? Or are they replicas based on spy shots being hawked on rando Chinese e-tail sites?

Yes. Suppliers normally provide off-tool/off process production samples and quality documentation 8-12 months before SOP (or even earlier).

Correct.
When I was working for a tier-1 automotive supplier, we were in China for months working on new tooling.
Anywhere from 50-100 samples is the norm prior to tooling approval.

I have no doubt the grill shown in the picture is in fact the OEM piece.

Looks good but I wouldn't put a csl grille on a non csl car. It's definitely not worth dropping money on IMO
