I agree. Same with QC. I watched other cars sail past in a matter of days while mine just sat there. Frustrating.

I’ve been waiting for months to get an update from the local M rep , I originally asked my SA to ask him if RAM doesn’t get installed at factory why is my car stuck in QC for 8 weeks (one genius rep suggested It was there so long, it may get installed there) ? the dealership finally got back to me with a response from him - very generalized and confusing , not specific to my car at all - “ there isn’t just one “RAM” required to fix all cars . . . there are 4 separate RAM’s based on what radio each car comes with . . . and there are an additional 7 other part numbers (amplifiers, etc.) that may also be required to fix any given car. The VDC was out of parts earlier in the week – I’ll see if I can get an update today on when we might expect parts to fix this one”.

Maybe its something other than ram? Possible something happened and the car(s) got damaged.

With as many people who are getting the runaround from BMW, I'm surprised there aren't very many negative posts on their socials (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter) to bring awareness to the issues with lack of communication on a public front…

Ha I’m pretty sure they could care less about Insta and other social media gripes. Each dealer has a waiting list for these cars and dealers in some areas selling them for 15-20k above msrp. Just to vent I post comments on the instagram bmw “posts” I doubt they are too concerned.

Agreed, if they really cared they would simply make an effort to communicate more effectively and keep buyers informed as to what's going on.

Canadian G80 2022, 430 convertible ordered in August 2021.
Manufactured in November and has been sitting in Germany since.

Bmw dealer lots are empty in Canada, they have some x1 and x3 left.

Anybody waiting longer than 11/3?

Funny, when you go online to dig out a contact from BMW you'll find LARGE numbers of people who are also trying to get a response from BMW regarding repair/warranty issues... It scared me just a bit.

So my car was only in QC for a day. Its now awaiting carrier assignment but the RAM stop sale is still there.

Whats pissing me off is that I seem to be the only car in my build week that has this stop sale. No one else has it.

WTF is going on?!

It is more cost effective for them to prioritize their available RAMS for current production and wait for enough supply to retrofit the week 47 and before cars that were produced without them. It looks like week 48 cars and later are being delivered.

They don't care about us and I am sure that they regret that we have the information that we do have so we even know what they are doing.

USA bound cars are being shipped for installation of the RAMs stateside while Canadian cars sit in Germany.

The reply after five days that I got from BMW on their Facebook page. A total non-answer answer.

"We understand how eager you are to take delivery of your new BMW, and we also can't wait for you to get behind the wheel. Our apologies for your frustrations about the delivery timeframe of your vehicle. We are doing our best to get your vehicle to you as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, industry-wide capacity limitations due to the ongoing global pandemic and continuing issues impacting the global supply chain are impacting automotive manufacturing around the world. Your BMW center will notify you when your vehicle is ready for you to take delivery. Thank you for your continued patience and understanding."

US M4 here, been in QC since 11/3 for RAM and Amp. It's not only Canadian cars sitting in Germany unless you're suggesting that if the Amp gets resolved it'll ship with the RAM still open.

I guess I should have said some US cars are being shipped for RAM installation at the port of entry. Maybe it depends on the port its being shipped to or maybe its a G80 vs G82 thing.

That is great news! May I ask how you found out about that? I haven't heard of anyone to date receiving a status report of work in progress?
