Basically it seems like you'd get individual only if at least one of the following apply to you:
- you are going to keep the car a while
- the cost of the color is something you're willing to write off fully at resale if it comes to that
- you're willing to drag along a resale until someone willing to pay the extra, that you deem is fair, shows up

I'll keep my car at least 5 years and given that's a good chunk of what's left of my "younger" adult life, why compromise. I didn't.

calbears , any thoughts on the matter?
It's included in the MSRP. It's residualized. Residual value is based on the MSRP

That’s interesting, thanks.

Honestly, as I think about it, it doesn’t change the financing that much anyway…if you get residual credit you pay $4500*.42=1,890/36=52.50/month….if fully depreciated you pay 4500/36=125/month.

So the difference works out to around 72.50/month if you do get residual credit. Certainly enough to make you think about it, but not enough to change your life.

Thanks for all the input it guys …

Went ahead and ordered a Brooklyn Grey Xdrive … if I love it maybe I'll go for an individual color when the CS comes out or something …

Looking forward to be a little more active on this forum again, such a great resource and community!
