Getting G80 M3 Tinted

Looking for recommendations. I'm in CT. Everything I see has been insanely priced at $450-$699 for 3M/Suntek. Normally I pay $300-$400.

Any recommendations? Willing to drive to NJ/NY.

You’re willing to travel how far for a delta of $150-$300?

1-2 hours. Can always take the opportunity to explore a new town. Plus I can't see myself paying that much for tints. It's insulting to my frugal values.

I generally get my tints done at NRS Tint Shop (previously WC Tint Shop) in NYC. Mainly since it's the closest by me and their prices are pretty hard to beat and I had nothing but great experiences with their work. I am not too familiar with different tint films but I believe they use XPEL and charge around $175-200. They do tons of BMWs and pretty much every time I go there is a few exotics they are doing a full PPF job for.

Thank you. I'll give them a call.

Just got my G80 tint and full nose PPF done at NRS. They're the only Xpel authorized installer in Staten Island. Excellent price/service/work.

Why am I not OK paying $600 for tints? Is there any where I can get 3M or SunTek for $300-$400?

I feel you, but seems to be the going rate; paid that for my F82 in '18, but it's flawless and I do feel like I got what I paid for.

So I've used (and will use for G80) RS Auto Detailing in Plainville, CT for ceramic pro and tints. They're on IG and FB, or 860.416.8960 (but def not less than $600)...

Good luck regardless, and can't wait to see pics!

Worth paying to have it done right. Mine has a few specks of dust and it all has to be redone.

Not going to cost me money but will cost me time which is more annoying

Pretty sure this post is too late but just wanted to let anyone know that i have used TOLT (top of the line tint) here in NJ. They're in lodi. It's a small shop but they have done dozens and dozens of high end exotics and supercars if you check out the website. I have brought all of my cars there for tints. And when i get my M3C in about 2 months, it's going from the dealer, straight to his shop. Well most likely from the dealer to my house first. But i don't even want to put anymore miles on the car until it gets tinted and the front end gets xpel'd.

I am unsure on his xpel pricing but when i did both of my corvettes, he uses 3M. Pricing was about 350. That was all glass minus the front windshield.

Pretty sure with the G80 having more glass and getting the front end xpel, i am probably looking at around 800-900.

It's worth it.

Please PM for the "best" guy for tints in CT. Hartford County. I'm sure by now you've already had the car tinted but there's always next time. Super reasonable pricing and second to none attention to detail.

Hello. Your account is too new to receive PMs. You can post it here.

I don't like justifying excessive pricing because of quality. I've done 3M, Suntek and other expensive films for $200-$350 per car and not a single issue on all my vehicles. But up here we are in the $500-$700 range which I don't see the value at this point.
