EOI: Swapping my CCBs for Standard brakes

I have a G80 arriving in either late Dec or early Jan and I have ordered the carbon ceramics.

I'm wishing to swap my carbon ceramics with someone's standard steel brakes with a cash adjustment my way, which will also depend on the amount of wear on your standard brakes.

Seeing as these carbon ceramics are almost 20K from the dealer and they are not yet available for individual part order, I am looking for around 12K my way if your standard brakes are practically new (under 5000kms of strictly street driving)

These carbon ceramics would be fantastic for anyone who wants to turn their G8X into the ultimate drag monster as these brakes are significantly lighter than the standard brakes and reduces your rotational mass considerably.

Open to offers and no reasonable offers will be declined. Prefer to deal with someone locally in Sydney.

Good luck with the swap.

Just one question, why are you wanting to swap out?

I initially was going to use the G80 as a daily car and use my current F80 as a pure track-focused car. However personal circumstances have changed and I am planning to sell the F80 once the G80 comes. I plan to use the G80 as both a daily and a track car. Since carbon ceramics cost an arm and a leg to replace and their wear are exponentially increased with track days, I want to swap them with the standard brakes and offer a significant discount for anyone who wanted the CCBs but ended up ordering the standard brakes instead

I may be completely wrong but isn’t it like $9k for a new set?

Is it really $20k for the CCB, retail?
Wow.

That’s like 25% the cost of the car.

I thought they were $15K option, but that was when I bought mine, so most likely has gone up.

The cars are $200K new, so 12.5% at $20K. Still up there.

Oh sorry, we’re AUS here.
Right that makes total sense.

US numbers are half that, which is exactly what you’re saying.

When i ordered mine in April, it was 17500 inclusive of LCT and GST. It was 16500 back in July 2021 when I was also considering to buy one back then as well

Not sure if its the same for the G series but on the F80's the master cylinder and programming were different for the CCB

Not the master cylinder but the brake booster. Programming is different as well and would need to use ISTA or E-SYS to code in the CCB coding.
