Seats are the kind of thing that at some point you just stop thinking about it and just deal with it.

IMHO the CF buckets provide the ultimate driving experience. But, I'm 5'10", 185. May not be for everyone.

Depends on what you're buying the car for. Carbon seats were an absolute deal breaker on the M3 since it's predominantly my wife's daily. Specifically, it's driven to the gym every morning where our parking spot is along a wall with barely enough room for the door to open to the first detent. With carbon buckets, it would be impossible to get in/out. It's one car in the household where neither of us need to stress over hunting for the perfect parking spot. That alone makes the car a huge relief to drive daily and adds to the joy of ownership.
However, they are among the best looking and most comfortable bucket seats on the market. |

I sat in both and found the center hump thing was a pain with the manual. I have bigger legs/hamstrings (lift weights and a cyclist, 6 foot and 178pds) and it felt just weird.
Also my wife wouldn’t tolerate them either. The good thing about the base seats (besides ventilation) is that they also look great and are very adjustable. If you’re daily driving the car or use it for business (taking out clients etc.) I think it would get tiring quickly with the buckets.

I have a base 2021 with the CF seats. Ordered it back in April of 2021 and got it in July 16th of 2021. I have no regrets with the seats. The car is not a daily driver so the seats are in a great condition. I got the iND bolster protectors for the outer ones on both seats.
I have had no issue getting in and out but I have noticed it is getting harder and harder as I recover from my knee surgery and getting back into heavy lifting. I'm on the thicker side of the body structure at 240lbs with thicker than average legs and butt. The seats are very comfortable for me. I however am very anal about the condition of the seets and try to squeeze my legs together so I won't push the side bolster outward too much. There really isn't a correct answer to this question. You have to try it for yourself and decide if you're fine with the little extra hassle getting in and out.

Just got my car and don't have 100 miles on it just yet but I love how the snug me in. I feel like I'm a round that just got chambered. Weird analogy but that's how I explained it to the wife 🤷🤷

I’m looking at trading my 22 M3 Comp in for the M3 CS. Only comes with the carbon buckets and it’s going to be my daily driver but I’m still terrified I’m going to hate it after purchase. Only a handful of G80/G82s here and I haven’t found anyone that has the carbon buckets. |

My wife got the buckets for her commuter and the first drive was 4 hrs. She said they were great. I am jealous my m5c did not have that option.

Your kids would probably love the M5CS due to the rear bucket seats. Looks like she’s claiming her car when she’s old enough to drive |

Zero regrets. Had it on my 2021 g80, got them on my current one. If the keep offering this, I’ll get it on every M car I buy. I’m 5’8 160 lbs, it feels like they are custom made for me.

Everyone who is vocal about it, has zero regrets.
Then you see dozens of cars being sold, and dozens of carbon bucket seats on ebay offered to exchange for regulars |

Having regrets?
I’ll buy someone’s Carbon Bucket if they want to sell, $5k + shipping. Not a huge need but wouldn’t mind having them as a spare, but you can’t have my standards. You’d have to source other seats. I’d be willing to buy just one also as that’s all I really need. On a side note, I contacted AMX and they never contacted me back. |

Not meant to bash on the seats, they are best looking stock seats in the whole automotive industry in my opinion. Just not cutting it for me in an everyday car and especially doesn't work for my wife wearing dresses getting in and out. Also, ventilated seats are a big deal for me, it's very convenient for long rides in summer. Finally, lumbar support which nobody mentions - same, pretty much crucial for long trips. And I think quite a few folks eventually realize that when they start dailying the car for longer time. When/if I get the new m2 whenever the cs/xdrive one comes out, it will be definitely bucket seats since that will be a fun car and not a daily. |

I absolutely love them. Would not buy the m3 without them.
Is it slightly annoying getting in and out? Yes. But it's worth every single time. Everytime I enter and exit the car I am reminded that I made a sacrifice to be in the race buckets. When I'm out and about and people see me do a tricep dip to get in and out I'm proud that I got these buckets On the plus side once I'm in they're actually more comfortable than the standard seats for long journeys, very contoured and ergonomic
