I can see why model 3 performance owners feel like they can beat everything on the road. We just got our model Y LR and even that thing from low speeds feels like it picks up so fast compared to your average car. My biggest annoyance with tesla is on the forums, they call the model 3 an M3 😂 But outside of that I feel like they have some positives over our cars. The sound system is way better and it’s more comfortable to drive.

Let me go on record; EV is the future and Tesla has a great offering. They are very comfortable and capable. I saw a Lucid on the HWY the other day and it looked pretty cool.

As far as my personal experience I’ve never be behind the wheel of any EV. A coworker did take me for a ride in a brand new dual performance Model 3. It’s no doubt quicker than my 2022 G80 6MT.

I’m attending a BMW event in July and I’ll have the opportunity to test drive some EV’s.

Should be interesting…

The best is when people who never let you merge but you stomp on the throttle and instantly get in front of them lmao

That’ll never get old!

I will miss the instantaneous torque of my departed Tesla Model 3 Performance. For under $60k it was an absolute hoot to drive.

Just got my new M4 two days ago, and after only 65 miles I can tell you that the M4 is a much better car in most but not all aspects. But it better be - it costs almost twice as much!

I have both but a long range + AB and an m3. Not the x drive and the m3 does have more top end obviously but the tesla has such a confidence inspiring acceleration you never have to second guess an immediate move you need to make. It can exploit any gap and you can basically leave anyone behind during normal circumstances.

I wish I got the x drive on the m3. Having all wheel drive traction all the time is incredible.

Why?
Just why?

If you are comparing these two cars… you are very confused. At least compare it to the zf8.

I can’t even begin to understand why we compare these two cars. They are for different people, completely different people.

The cars are different, no doubt. But there are a lot of drivers, like me, who bought a Tesla M3P for its blazing instant accel and all wheel drive. I came from an M2 which was only OK for me, went to a Tesla M3P, and now have an M4CX.
