Have any of you ordered carbon fiber parts from ebay?

Have any of you ordered carbon fiber parts from ebay?
what was your experience like with the fitment quality.

I got a entire exterior carbon fiber aero kit in my cart on ebay for $2500 which would cost $8000+ from more reputable brands like IND and R44 but im not sure if its worth taking the plunge and getting it. afraid they might send me straight garbage

Post a link, honestly i wouldn't do it because the pics some of these sellers post aren't the exact same quality pieces you will receive. One ebay seller's return policy was that he would pay return shipping, and when i got the pieces they looked like shit and he paid to ship them back, i got lucky.

Try pricing out the pieces from these guys also

I bought all my stuff from 1 seller on eBay,looks amazing, shipped promptly, cannot wait to install. My car is almost to the dealership. As soon as I can get them installed I will post up. Got the sellers name from a guy who has purchased & installed them and said they fit perfectly.

I have:
MPerformance lip
Brake ducts
GT3 style front grill (think that's what it is called)
CF full rear diffuser
Stock sideskirts in CF
Mirror covers
Side fender vent partial CF cover

If they all fit I will be happy, think it is the same manufacturer that many businesses sell, like Kies or BayOptiks or whoever.

Only think ordered direct was a CF spoiler from RWCarbon because it was their own product, and I liked the style.

They were very quick with messaging back and forth, and even realized I had ordered a part for a G82 by accident instead of a G80, simply because all of my other parts were for a G80 that I had ordered. They corrected it for me and made sure everything was shipped out quickly.

I took a flyer on a CF "diffuser" for my F34 back in the day. Body shop wasn't able to fit it. (I really need to throw the damn thing out!)

It's a hit or miss from Ebay. I only recommend getting carbon parts from there if you know a person who got the same part and they are happy with the fitment and quality.

In most cases sellers will have a few good parts but the majority of their catalog is bad when it comes to quality and fitment.

I ordered a rear window spoiler. It matches the lines really good. I wish the carbon was thicker but I get allot of compliments on it. I also scratched my shifter trim changing out the black thing with the M4 Comp one so I ordered a Carbon Surround and it was ok. Fit nice. I did not cheap out on the high kick and got that from German Car Accessories and was VERY happy with that. There is a little you get what you pay for noticed but if NO one makes what you need, and you want it...well...beggars cant be choosers lol.

Unless you're going with a higher-quality product (like Dongsai), lots of ebay CF parts are trash.
I've ordered the rear winglets from ebay once, the fitment/gaps were terrible, the 'winglets' were not symmetrical.
I replaced them with the Dongsai ones and they're 100x better.

I have the EzCarbon rear diffuser, front ducts, and front splitters, they are real nice, solid fitament, and moderately priced. For the rear splitters I went w Ahacarbon as I found them for $215 shipped. They seem to be a small step above ebay stuff. Figured they at least have a bit of a reputation trying to build the name vs ebay shops, which can vanish anytime.

Overall the Ahacarbon pieces are above average. If you're going for show car, I'd skip them or any ebay stuff. Everything fit fine, but you can see one spot the weaving is wonky, and contours don't line up exactly. Second pic you can see how the OEM splitter follows the bumper, but the Ahacarbon ones have a slight lip. Unless you get down close an examine it, you won't notice. This will do. As with most things, you get what you pay for.

I can only speak for what I have, but I've seen reviews about other Dongsai parts and they were mostly positive.
It's not going to be OEM M Performance quality, but pretty close for like half the price.
It's mostly weave patterns that are not up to par with the OEM stuff, and I can live with that.
I'm not going to inspect the part up-close. Fitment is really good. Didn't have a single issue with that.

You can always check out RW's cost for a kit. Pricing is always negotiable for a larger sized order. A full kit would range from $4500 ( without a hood ) - $6000 ( with a hood ) . We are happy to help you out.

Fitment 9/10 or better on everything. Weave lines look good. Main difference is that OEM are 1x1 weave, which looks nicer than 2x2 like most all aftermarket pieces are.

Still have to do the front grill, brake ducts and lip, hopefully do that this coming week. For the price and quality, etc., I am happy so far. 👍🏻

550 miles in, I took the bumper off today 😄 Definitely need to know what you are doing for this job, but overall it went well. Installed brake ducts, grill, and MPerformance style lip. The brakes ducts fit perfectly, the grill took a little work, but seems good to me. The lip seemed like it was going to not fit, but after putting it all together, it looks great. I did drill and add an extra tiny screw on the outer/side piece to pull it up tighter which definitely helped.

I also had a Sto N' Sho plate holder, and I adapted it to work using different screws and some spacers. I will leave it off 95% of the time, just have it on when crossing the Canadian border back into the states so customs don't give me trouble. The new lip will be interesting once I add the H&R Sport springs next week 😬

Car is super dirty, my apologies. Now that my parts are all on I can get a 1 step paint correction and ceramic coating done 👍🏻
