Looks great but I'm at 20% and it's dark as hell at night to see out of in rural areas lol.

I went with SunTek Films Carbon 25% on all sides and rear windshield.

These pics were taken on a overcast day so some angles look a bit darker than others. No visibility issues during the day and surprisingly good at night. Came out the exact way i wanted as ive had previous tints at 10, 15 & 20% where i might as well have been blindfolded driving at night.

I did ceramic 20% on sides and back and 35% on the front windshield. Imo that's ideal for still being able to see out of it at night while looking really dark

Your best point of reference is to look at the factory shade on SUV rear windows. Those are the equivalent of 'about' 25-35%.

You can see in, and see shapes, but not details. Seeing out not really an issue at night.

Then decide if you want a little darker or a little lighter.

I've had tint applied to the windows of at least 5 of my past vehicles, and the tint on the rear glass was NEVER affected negatively by the defroster elements built into the glass....or vise-versa....

I've tinted all my past cars, but am starting to like the no-tint look. But it gets extremely hot in the summer where I live.

What's the lightest someone has gone on a G8x? 50% looks pretty good imo, wondering if anyone has gone lighter on the sides and back?

Obviously not a G8X, but I rented this MDX for the week traveling up on NYC. The window tint is 5% rear and sides, 20% windshield.

At night even in darker streets, the windshield is OK to look out of, but the sides are a nightmare. Essentially have to roll down the windows to see properly.

That being said, this gives me confidence that 35% all around including the windshield will be just fine for night driving while still looking good and offering a decent amount of privacy.

I'm torn between 35 and 50 on SPY and YMB interior. I don't want it to look too dark, but worried 50 will be fish bowl with the blue interior. Any suggestions?
