How's it going all,

I have a US based version of the G82 Competition and purchased the smoke GTS OLED taillights. The seller provided additional wire hardness to get the amber sequential turn signals to worked, however, could NOT get the brake light to work. After all the wires are connected, there is a red wire that I need to connect to the original brake light wire. I reached out to my local bimmer dealership and my service advisor pulled up the diagram of my taillights configuration based on my VIN, I attempted to locate the brake light wire, cut it, then connect the red wire to this original brake light wire, didn't work.

This issue only pertains to G82 vehicles based in the US, if anyone was successful in getting BOTH the amber sequential lights and brake lights to work, please let me know, I'm willing to pay to obtain this info. Ty.

VLand told me that the red wire is supposed to wire the third brake light power supply module. I'm trying to figure out the module location. Let me know if you solved.

I installed the GTS oled ones from kies motorsport on my g80 with no issue. It was plug and play and did not have to wire anything extra. It does have sequential ambers when turning and using caution lights. Perhaps you got a faulty model?

Yes that's correct, you will need to connect the red wire to the 3rd brake light black wire, we did that and it worked. We were successful with the amber sequential turn signals AND the brake lights to work.

See if you can get BayOptiks for lend you a hand or at least give you some suggestions. Or, just give up and take the lights to them, and get it taken care of.

I have the same issue on my G82 M4. Also it looks like the G80 has different tail lights. The sequential lights are in top on the G82 while they are in the middle in the G80.

When using the harness the brake lights blink on and off but the yellow sequential lights never turn on. Here is a video.

For all you guys with the G82 your better off coding it in and getting the correct wire harness needed from the BDC to the tail lights so it correctly separate the turn and brake operation with coding through Bimmercode the Harness they supply you guys with will trigger a soft fault code which will come on and then disappear nothing crazy I actually have that plug and testing another one for the G82 from a Manufacturer to be a plug and play for the CSL Style Tail Lights for the Sequential turn signals but this doesn't plug into the third brake light . Here are 2 videos for 2 different brands testing I doing a third light in the the process from a manufacturer but it failed in everyway possible .

I saw your video best option I would say is to hard wire it and code it in so you can separate the Turn and Brake completely.

Thank you for the videos. Can you provide an explanation on how you got everything working. These lights are truly making me pull my hair out. I’ve gone to my dealership, my tuner, by body shop, Bimmer plug, and no one but you have figured this out.

There is some confusion on the information on this site only 1 person had it almost correct just the coding was wrong information but he was there and got it done . I have the GTS plug and used it but found it gave an error code from time to time ... then I started with playing with Bimmercode ran the coding process and there I found the issues what was needed to correctly code it . In all I sell the harness all pre made with the correct pins with the correct coding . www.vinyldesigns2.com

the harness is to get the euro turns to work with the GTS Check and see if they give you the adapter plug with it
