Anybody know of an available MSRP M3 allocation in SoCal? I’m on the waiting list with my preferred dealer but I’m trying to get a prelci 2024 allocation early enough to order and individual color.

All you need is Day Laborer. DM him and you’ll find your allocation. Well worth it.

Are there any/many Base M3 allocations available? My local dealer hasn't been able to find one ~last 2 weeks. I'm in NC/SC area.

There's no such thing as a "base M3" allocation, an allocation for G80 is good for any derivative.

Yea my dealer told me he had an XDrive Comp allocation he can modify for my options (not switching model to 6mt) but he doesn't specifically have a 6mt/base allocation that he can use to build my spec.

TBH I'm not sure either way if you're right or he is as this is my first time trying to even build a car out in this way.:/

An allocation can be configured base, comp, and xdrive. Some dealers won’t because margins or they don’t think they could sell the base.

I too hate the wording of a base M3. To me it’s either Comp or non-comp. The demand is usually for the comp models as those are the automatics and ultimately sell better at any dealer. I don’t and haven’t worked at a dealer so not going to pretend to know how it works but I do vaguely remember myself having to wait for a non comp slot to customize to my specifications and options. You could try and go too a dealer that is larger that gets more “M” build allocations though. Good luck and it’s worth the wait!!!

Ash is well known sales manager at SD BMW. Prior to SD BMW he was the manager at Encinitas BMW for many years. He also worked for Porsche for a while too. Hes who I would talk to at SD BMW.

My BMW contacts have shared this bulletin that shows which models allocations can be flexed. It may require approval from the regional representative to change a M3 xdrive allocation to a M3 sedan base allocation

And yes, I do have limited allocations available in the South.

Closest one is about 4-5 hours away from NC/SC
