anyone know what the heck this option means? I'm trying to see if there are any in stock similar spec m3/m4s and I have no idea what this option means.

Sorry for the late reply. It refers to option code 3DE, which on the M3/M4 is "Extended Shadowline Trim Deletion."

This same option code is / was called "Removal of standard kidney grille," "Installation of market specific kidney grille," or "BMW iPerformance Design Elements Deletion" on other vehicles and we missed updating the name once we set it as "Removal of standard kidney grille" for the first time. Apologies for the mix-up; we'll update it this week to reflect the correct name.

3DE is a no-cost option on the M3/M4. It removes option 7M9 - Extended Shadowline Trim, which comes standard on the Competition models. If you choose 3DE, you get body-colored side mirror caps, trunk lid spoiler, and chrome exhaust tips (like on the non-Competition models).

Here's a comparison with 3DE - Extended Shadowline Trim Deletion (top) and without 3DE (i.e. with standard 7M9 - Extended Shadowline Trim)(bottom):

Not currently, unfortunately. You can move and zoom the map to exactly the area you want to search, from the entire U.S. to a single dealer. You can set your search area that way, but you can't sort by distance yet.

Also, the map functionality isn't going to win any awards on mobile. It's definitely better on desktop.

If there's a specific search you'd like to do, we might be able to query the database directly, append a column for straight-line distance and you can sort on that column. Send me a PM if we can help.
