yeah, this red stripe thing is kind of a problem, my girlfriend says she won't get in the car until they're gone....lol. The 20 year old in me likes them but the subsequent 27 years have built a distrust of such show-off-ery.

Thats a very Good price! I am paying 6K for full PPF & Ceramic coating when it arrives.

I am trying something different this time & going for Liquid PPF, so its sprayed and slightly thicker as opposed to the normal XPEL PPF I have had in the past. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

That's good to know! What you're having done sounds really cool! Let me know how it turns out!

Just got message that my CSL is at the Halifax Port, 2-3 weeks ETA to dealer showroom.

Not sure if I will have enough time to have it full ppf'd until snow hits us but who knows, weather is so unpredictable these years.

I might also try to have it stay on the showroom floor in exchange of a later spring payment but I highly doubt the dealer will be hot to the idea.

I’d imagine they’d store it for you if you pay them. But yea I doubt they’ll leave it in the showroom. If they did you’d have strangers sitting in it every day. That’s no good.

Glad I ordered the white one. I love the contrast with the carbon parts.
Also easier to maintain…

Anyone considering mods on their CSL? Here are a few I'm considering:

1) IND reflector delete (painted front, honeycomb rear)
2) Wheel spacers
3) Aspherical side mirror lens
4) Eventuri intake (pending dev)
5) Piggyback (RC/JB4 pending HP gains data)
6) Alternate 827M wheelset (Track/Street)
7) Fitted indoor cover

Considering springs or coilovers such as the KW V5
Was considering flicks but don't want to drill bumper

I am only considering the EVenturi intake (when it comes out) and an alternate set of wheels with PS4s or similar for fall and early spring driving (Garaged in the winter). Will order the wheels prior to delivery and install them right away since it will be too cold for the PSC2Rs that come with the car. Not fooling around with shocks or spacers on that car. Fitted indoor cover as well (To BMW: that should have come with the car by the way…)

Am i crazy for not PPFing a frozen car if i don't plan on keeping it too long. PPF is just such a giant waste of money, and if PPF gets damaged, its also extremely expensive to have replaced. Frozen car, if its garaged, seems quite easy to take care of with the right cleaning products.

If it will sit in your garage then don't worry about it.

If you track it, back road it with friends or daily drive it then at least ppf the hood, front bumper, and fenders.

Mine is BSM but I just decided this morning to only ppf the front, roof, sideskirts and bottom of rear wheel arches. If I decide to do the whole car later or the next owner does it will be easily doable and at least for now the most important parts will be protected and I can enjoy it with almost no worries.

i'am totally against PPF'ing an entire car, as these are exactly that, CARS. Some people treat these things like glass. But since i own (not lease) the CS, and it's frozen, i had to do the front cap. I would do the same if i were you. Never know when you might pick up a stupid rock

I may skip PPF on my car (FBG) and just go with ceramic pro for ease if cleaning. It'll be an occasional use weekend toy that shares attention with other cars in the garage.

Agreed that the whole car is probably not needed, especially if your not keeping it long or not even driving it. I'm going with the just the front end and fenders for ppf on a FBG. I'll only track it a couple of times in reality anyway. Most warm weekends I'm on my HD…moves the soul!

is there any variation in look between your matte paint and the matte ppf'd areas?
