New M3 Competition xDrive at MSRP?

My apologies if this has been discussed before. Is MSRP a good deal these days on a ‘23 M3 Comp xDrive that’s on the lot or is there a discount to be had? Thank you in advance.

MSRP for a M3 xdrive in stock vehicle is a good deal. Other than the incentives offered by BMW, dealer discount might be very rare.

Thanks for a quick reply. I have an allocation for a ‘24 M4 Comp xDrive but a ‘23 M3 Comp xDrive just showed up at the same dealership. I originally wanted the M3 Comp xDrive but a M4 allocation was easier to get. Any real significant changes on the ‘24 M3 Comp vs. the ‘23?

Msrp for an on the lot m3 comp xdrive would be a good deal at the moment. Even if you got a discount, the max anyone has seen recently is just 2-3k off.

Other than MSRP update, there shouldnt be any major changes. Significant update for M3 is expected by MY25.

Go ahead and buy it already before someone else does at MSRP. My dealer has a M3 customer order available very now and then and at MSRP they sell fast - fyi for Chicago market.

I got a $750 discount of some kind. Loyalty or whatever. But otherwise, I paid MSRP back in Dec and was glad to snag it when I could.

If there is an msrp increase for the 2024 models, this will be considered a "discount."

I think 2024 pricing comes out at the end of the month?

Grab it before someone else does. M3 are hard to find than M4 and the discounts are more to be had on M4 than M3. So if you have an in stock M3 being offered at MSRP, I would just sign on the dotted line ASAP. Make sure they dont do these dealer add on crap and high interest rates to get their margins up. You will qualify for $750 loyalty discount (if you have owned a BMW in the past 3 yrs) and the savings of prob 3-4K on a 24MY might be a good discount. I dont think there is a huge change to MY24 M3. The M4 did changed to ID8 and the wide screen earlier this year

Garage List
GRAB IT. It might already be gone in the time you’ve spent wondering if it’s a good deal.

Only a good deal if you like the spec and need a car sooner than 3-4 months.

Correct. I just passed on an April allocation to get a May allocation which will be a July build and MY24.

The dealership wanted $10k over for this ‘23. I told them to pound sand. Allegedly the buyer backed out when it arrived at the dealership, so I’m told. Back to the drawing board.

Yeah classic bait and switch. Maybe in this day and age, they may have to wait longer to get 10K over MSRP. Give them a final number. 1K over MSRP. If its still unsold in 2 weeks, they have ur number and they can reach out to u. Unfortunately there are more buyers out there who dont wanna wait and have money to splurge. So they might end up selling it over MSRP.

That's it exactly. When you pay 80-90+ K for a car, you're nuts if you don't get what you want. I was lucky and a stock car at Crevier which my dealer got and sold at MSRP in Apr '21 when they were well over, was 98% of what I wanted. Sunroof vice cf roof, 100%. $2500 veteran discount from BMW and Dealer paid shipping. I call that a good deal.

This one has 96% of what I want but I can wait. I don't mind flying out of state to find a deal. It can be a fun road trip. I don't pay over MSRP for any car, even in this day and age. Thanks everyone for your input!
