G80 M3 CS Minor Mods

While waiting to have the RIS done on my car, I spent the time deliberating over what (if any) mods to have done to the CS.

I'd already decided prior to buying the CS that due to the shitty experience I had changing the springs (to MSS HAS) on my G82 M4CX, any major "mechanical' mods were out of the window.

The decision to not go with any major engine, chassis or suspension mods was decided definitively when I cancelled the G80 M3CX I had on order and took up the option of the CS. I don't want to mess with what is already a superb setup on a limited-run car.

Therefore I've taken about a month to decide on which side skirts and have eventually gone for the Genuine M Performance set, partly because I've grown to really like them, having looked at plenty of pics on here and other forums of other owners' cars. I also have zero DIY ability and I don't know any trustworthy body shops near me, so would rather get BMW to fit them.

Therefore, the list of minor mods I've now purchased are:

1. BMW Genuine M Performance side skirts
2. MHC+ M Performance Style carbon rear side winglets (I'm not paying £1k+ for the genuine ones!)
3. GoldenWrench Blackline rear reflector overlay kit
4. K&N BMW S58 replacement drop-in air filters
5. MHC+ carbon side fender badge covers (already fitted)

Subtle changes but enough to put a personal stamp on the car

I'll post some pics when the side skirts and winglets are on (the winglets are on a 3-4 week back order with R44 Performance, so it may be a few weeks until I can post!)

Active autoworke equal length midpipe. It will transform the feel of the car and make it sound like what the CS should have been out of the box. So much more raw and exciting drive. Plus bimmercode out the fake speaker exhaust and speaker burble noise and it's so so good.

I know you said nothing major....

- Eibach front springs
- new midpipe (I like my ERs - would have no issue w/ a new single mid to get rid of the wonky crossover pipe)
- BMC air cleaner filters.

Single midpipe is also very good. I wouldn't touch the springs personally and mess with the Factory suspension balance. Had friend that did that to his car and didn't really feel it until he was at the track and all over the place. Ruined his car. Put it back after. He only did fronts. If going to do that, need to do all then.

But, midpipe, is a must. It's so much better with it. The car should have cAme like this from the factory, but the regulations force it to sound like tame out of the box unfortunately

I did AA downpipes and AWRON valve controller and the sound is enough for me as my CS is my DD.

I recently did AST HAS kit with Dinan strut ball joints and am very happy with the outcome. paired with 15mm front and 12mm rear spacers it looks great and rides great.

I’d also be interested in links for recommended mid-pipes, as sound like a good option (my CS is also my DD so I don’t want too much drone in the cabin)

not a popular option, but i have been looking at the Akrapovik midpipe (most likely short).
