Do you know how to tag the folks? Not sure if anyone is getting this in their notifications. Bmw cca hpde track day is coming up aug 26-28. Not sure how it is up there, but I'm guessing they have parking lots we can meet outside and see some m cars track there. Anyone been there and how it's setup? I'm guessing they have free viewing areas too..

Me too, I think being at the cca event should add a bit of a spice to our meet.. my only concern is logistics, meeting place over there since I have never been there. But in my mind I'm imagining huge endless parking lots, and some viewing areas of the track. Is anyone of us a cca member?

I'm hoping we'll find good parking etc. at the BMW CCA even, but the only time I've been to Road Atlanta was for Petit LeMans and had to park in a dirt parking lot because it gets very busy over that weekend

I have another idea, maybe we can drive up to Atlanta Motorsports Park (AMP) for a meet and we can do a couple of rounds of go karts. Requires a little more coordination to make sure everyone buys their own tickets for the same sessions etc. but it'll be a blast. If you guys haven't been to that karting track you're missing a lot. Their standard go karts are nice & fast. It's been ~3 years since I last went there and always wanted to come back.

That's a good idea too! I have been to AMP and it's pretty good and a nice drive too. Im game for either.

I haven’t because it’s just been cold or raining the last few times, but it’s 5-10 minutes from my house so I was planning on taking my son when it warms up a little.

Great! I usually park with some Supra guys that get there super early, usually next to the exotics lot in front of belk. One of them has cones to save spots.

Caffeine and Octane is 2/5 (this coming Sunday). No rain on the forecast so I am planning on going. I usually show up around 6:30 or 7. Overnight low looks pretty cold though. Anyone going? Post up!

I usually park in the area shown. If enough are coming, we could just meet somewhere beforehand too.
