They offer a 7MT now. I think the manual recently went into production.

Do people really cross shop the M3 and 911? The 911 is considerably more expensive

Some of us do, in my case since Porsches are the only cars that give me the same or better level of overall satisfaction. It’s a testament to how good the M3 is when you need to reach for a car at almost twice the price to get into something that doesn’t feel like you are trading down in terms of key areas.

That said, the chance the 911 will win in the end is very slim due to the large value gap. I do currently own a Porsche (Cayenne) that I bought new late 2012, it truly is a very well rounded and wonderful vehicle but even a Cayenne is a very costly car over it’s life cycle vs. a BMW. Granted it does spoil you and I’ve been test driving the new X5 and while some parts are ace as the motor the old Cayenne still feel better to drive.

Already added a mint E92 M3 DCT to the stable. F82 M4 GTS next in line hopefully in the coming years.

CPO 991.1s are reasonable. Last great sounding 911s with nice interior as well.

G80/F80 vs 911 has always seemed off to me.
Should be Panamera vs G80. 4 doors vs 4 doors.

M4 makes more sense, but G80 has no real competition for those of us that want a manual sedan, until Cadillac gets back to it with the BW CT5-V.

Note: I accidentally voted in my own poll trying to swipe using the app. I definitely do not plan to buy an Audi.
1: Wanted to get the X6 - placed order, corona happened, factory shut down. Order cancelled.

2: switched to X5 M50i order. The truck got into a wreck and X5 damaged. By this time could get replacement but....

3: Having second thoughts because I'm really interested in g8x. Count me in minority but I'm liking the new grill (especially in all black). So not sure what I'll be doing.

I feel like most of us are just going to put up with the ugly front end because the rest of the car will be good. I mean what the hell does the old C63 and Audi RS-whatever have on this? All cars will have bland steering but otherwise the Bimmer should be superior in every way.

Curious to see how the Blackwings will compete. Along with Alfa, I expect them to be dynamically superior.

I just couldn't put up with that front end. If you can sacrifice 2-doors, the M2 is the way to go. I'd also take the C63 over new M3, dynamically it may not be as playful but its still a great handling car, has a sweet V8, and a great interior, although the Giulia is a possible risk, that car really is a sweetheart and just so thrilling to drive, but a risk maybe worth taking.

The C63 sounds much better.
The RS5 looks much better compared to this gaping tooth bastard. The old RS5 has one of the best sounding engines of all time.

Personally I don’t think the G20 is a particularly good looking car to start out with. The G80 looks better but will still have the awkward rounded rear similar to the 1st gen Panamera in some degree. I wouldn’t call it ugly but not exactly a stunner either.

As usual it’s the package that make these cars. Unparalleled ergonomics, agility, balance, track robustness, value etc, etc. Same as ever. And it will bury the current Benz and Audi on the track.

Yes it did. I had a 2015 RS5. That 4.2 V8 was a monster. Heavy car though.

It's a shame the new Merc C63 will lose that V8 bi-turbo.

Is speculation still on a 2Lhybrid boosted 4 similar to the CLA?). If so would sound like a CLA45 or a Cayman GTS I imagine.

That was under her hood...

Still hoping the rumors of a 4-cylinder AMG will stay just that, anxiously waiting for some spy photographers/videographers to confirm the exhaust.

I love the M2 but I think most people are going to figure that the M2 doesn't lease much better, only has 2 doors, does not have a very luxurious interior with different color options and trims, and doesn't have as much "cool" factor to casual observers as the M4. Only the die hards for an old school BMW driving experience will opt for the M2.

The C63 isn't playful at all, it's basically a German muscle car. It can handle corners but would rather not lol. It has its appeal but BMW is always better when the twisties arrive.

This is true currently, however I believe MB is following suit and also going the AWD route, so I imagine driving dynamics will also change. 2021 should be an interesting year for cars.
