Use the inside handle! That's why it's there.

I just bought an older car for track use, and it doesn't have HUD, and I really miss it.

Another thought, if it's a consideration for any of you, is that a lack of HUD will hurt you big time if you plan to sell the car yourself. Partly d/t to the price, but mostly that knowledgeable buyers will just pass you by. When I was F8x shopping, I noticed that non-HUD cars were sitting on lots for many months, even when fairly priced.

Actually, aside from the few examples posted, they really still do. They do have packages, but mostly you can pick what you want, and it's with few restrictions on having to be packaged together.

Good point about resale as well. Executive package is one of those packages considered to be “required” for resale. And it’s also one of those that when you check KBB from the dealer, where they itemize the value of each option, it’s still worth nearly what you paid for it, when something else, like say, CCBS, which are $8,500, resale is about $75.

I would hope so, but generally speaking the LR cars are not generally built very well overall.

Didn’t get full leather with my m3 and I regret it. It does have HUD tho that makes me feel a little better.

HUD is quite useful when you are driving on twisty roads or going on a long drive. I found it most useful when driving for 5+ hours on the pacific coast highway. Helps keep a tap on the accelerator on sensitive areas on the road.

For flat roads it’s not that useful.

I don’t care for the sensatec dash either, especially when you have the good leather on the seats.

My wife’s G01 X3 has the individual Tartufo leather seats (lovely), but the dash is sensatec, and it feels like a bit of a clash.

No way I’d want Sensatec dash in my M3, and full leather is one of the things that elevates the interior above the 3 series on which it’s based.
