2024 M4 Stock Tire Question
I feel silly, but I cannot find what exact tire comes on my incoming M4 Competition Xdrive. BMW just says high performance tire on its website. Are these all-season radials or summer only tires?
Wheels: 19" x 9.5" Fr/20" x 10.5" Rr (Style 826M) In MN, so would like to figure this out, even with our super mild winter this year. |

Typically (and I haven't read anybody getting anything different in the US) you're either going to get the Michelin PS4S Star, or the Pirelli P-Zero Star. Both are summer only.

The G8X M3/M4 comes with either:
Yokohama Advan Sport V107 Pirelli P Zero Michelin Pilot Sport 4S You will guaranteed get the Yoko's if you have a base G80 M3 and opt for the 824M wheels. If you get the 825M or 826M wheels on the Comp models, you may get either the Pirellis or the Michelins. All three are summer performance tyres and should absolutely not be driven in any snow, but there's not much of an issue driving them during the winter when roads are clear and you allow some time to heat them up.

I will have them replace the summer tires with Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4's before I pick the car up. |

Re what comes as OE on the car, Tire Rack says the OE tires in 19/20 are either Mchelin PS4S or Pirelli P Zero.

I run them on my G83 for the winter months here (no snow) and they work fantastically. |

I think they are a great year round tire. New base corvettes ship with AS tires…unless you are really pushing it I think they do very well.

Mine came with P Zeros, and I installed the Michelline PS All Seasons during the Winter. The performance of the tires are pretty similar. The biggest difference I feel is the P Zeros have a stiffer sidewall than the 'all-seasons'. When I put the summer tires back on I have to adjust my driving for a few days to get use the quicker turn in of the summer tires. THe performance metrics of these tires have been researched pretty well.
Here is a link to a site that has tested tires and then publishes the result. Its a good soure of info. https://www.tyrereviews.com/Tyre-Tes...-Tyre-Test.htm |

The 4 compounds for the G8X are Michelin, Pirelli, Continental, and Yokohama. The Pirellis and Michelins, come installed on the 825/ 826/ 827M wheels. The Continentals, are on the base model 18" wheels, and the V107s come installed on the BMW 1000M M Performance catalog tires.
Im adding pics of the base model with the factory Contis on it, and I have the 1000M wheels on my G82. Which come installed with the Yoko V107s. in 20/21. Notice the Star on the tread. These are the factory tires made for the G80.

If you're gonna swap tires *anyway*, I personally would do PS4S and Alpin or Blizzaks for winter specifically, and use Cup2s for the track, if you want a specific track tire. If you're fine with the PS4S on the track, then I'd probably just keep them and daily them as well during non-winter months.

Primary is autocross so 200 TW is a must. I should have specified not "track tires" so much. Might go to the track a handful of times here and there but not as often. I can just roll the 200 throughout the autox season and run DWS from October-May then. |
