This lil guy. But as others have said a proper right angle driver or attachment would make it easier.

Thanks for suggesting this. It helped me screw those back screws while crawling under at stock height.

It痴 hard to mess this up but you should be able to install the rear screws into the plastic by hand/with a hand tool.

I used a cordless drill to drive the screws through the plastic. In hindsight I would have rather drilled a small pilot hole and hand screwed. The threads on the screws are not very corse and the plastic is soft. Easy to strip out. I didn’t strip out, but they would definitely have better bite if the hole were pre drilled and screwed in by hand.

The mishimoto skid plate and the skid plate made by southeast coating and fabrication both look solid and robust. I opted for simplicity and just ordered the Zunsport oil cooler grill from Amazon. It list for $190 and there is 10% off right now.

Y'all are overthinking the tapping of screws with impacts, right angle drivers etc. I have these too but chose to use a straight pick (scratch awl) to mark the location then to pierce the plastic and a short screwdriver to easily twist the screws in. it was fast and effective.

The Zunsport looks good but being so thin it doesn't look like it will stop the blunt of something that can actually take the oil cooler out.

Its good for small rocks but ya all the other guards are basically skid plates which can take more of a beating than the zunsport.

Decent protection from rocks and small debris,, yes. Personally I think it痴 all thats needed. If you are worried about running over logs and large debris, then maybe the metal plate. The screen on the zunsport is quite stout, its just the simple mounting that would be the weak point if you ran over a 10 point buck.. LOL..

I took a rock through the radiator of my last BMW, that put a small hole in it. Thats all I really wanted to protect against. If BMW would have put a small plastic screen on the front of the oil cooler like they started doing on some of their radiators, I would have left it alone.

I ran over tree branch today that was sticking up in the middle of road. We had small storm the other day and I came around corner. No where to really go around. I was happy to have Mishi I heard it smack right against it.
I just like metal plate under there. I see no hard all benefit.
