Has Anyone Done the DINAN Front Monoball Kit?

I have done these style kits on many of my cars over the years and always loved the results it made to the steering feel. I know the M3/M4 strut arm has a more solid bushing versus the regular series production models but a Monoball does really help.

I was looking into a few options and the DINAN ones seem like the best solution for a street car since it has dust boots to protect the area from debris. Can not find any reviews on this particular kit.

has anyone here tried these or other monoballs and can post feedback on what this change made to the G8x platform in terms of steering feel. Was it worth the effort to do?

I did them a couple months ago. I had them on my previous M340i and really like them so did them again this time around for my M3. The improvement was not as big a jump as it was on my M340 but there was an improvement none the less and could still feel more firm steering and improved turn in while cornering. For me at least it was worth the upgrade and glad I did.

I was at a shop getting a bunch of other stuff installed so I had them do this as well, so didn't do it myself.

Has anyone tried installing these (or any other thrust arm bushing upgrades) on the xDrive variants? The Dinan one says it's not compatible, but the fall line monoball claims to be compatible. How can this be? Either the xDrive and RWD use the same bushing or they are different.

The xDrive compatible Dinan monoballs are now on the site (replacing the older RWD only version). They use the same bushing but the holder itself needed to be altered for the xDrive with an additional notch. The additional notch has no bearing on RWD compatibility so the new version simply works with both variants.

Hey Placebo, Do you have anymore details on how it changed your M340? I'm thinking of doing this on my 22 M240i with the track package. Thanks

I did Dinan monoballs on my M440i xdrive and the change is significant. It took away that soft rubbery feeling when braking into corners and has a heavy more direct steering feel.
