Our M340i xDrive does 0-60 in 3.7 seconds every single time with LC. Wait for the iDrive boost gauge thing to hit 10 psi, and go.
F80s are light cars when compared to rivals, mines 3620~ loaded minus CCBs. The Guilia Quadrofoglio is 200~ lbs heavier, and the C63 and RS5 were damn near 2 tons. |

I think the new M3 will be faster than quoted, especially in AWD form.
However, as to my F82 and now having the M340i.. it really isn't that much slower to 60. As a matter of fact, if you put someone in both and just told them to flat foot it to 60 10 times.. I'd venture to guess the m340i would be faster more times than not. The torque is much more manageable and puts great power down without having to think too much about throttle control. The s55/S58 on RWD.. not so much.

Want 0-60? Wait for the AWD version. As someone mentioned, look at the X3M times ... the M4 should be even faster even if just slightly. Also... remember what happened when they put AWD in the M5/M6(8)? dropped like a full second-ish. AWD M3 will be a drag racing monster, especially when people start dumping in mods.

Its closer to 100 than 400 The weight figures everyone is comparing are done with completely different standard equipment. I think they recently cracked down on manufacturers using ridiculously stripped down cars to come up with the weight figure and BMW is being more modest than they should be kind of like their 0-60 times haha. Someone in another thread said the G80 was weighed with options like the power trunklid which is kind of ridiculous if true...is that an option that any of us is actually going to select? lol Seems like a lot of people are into the carbon seats as well which would probably save 40 lbs or so End of the day all things considered its probably more like 3650 lbs for the F80 comp vs high 3700s for the G80 comp in the real world

You know what the best thing about this new X drive M car is? Those pesky Tesla's are going DOWN in the streetlight wars. Lord... every Tesla driver out there including soccer moms have turned into im going to smoke you off the line boy racers. It's kind of funny...and irritating when they actually do smoke you. I don't even try anymore.

Yes the M3 M4 has been weak lately. I can match an M3 with my Z4 M40i. Its not for me because i want a sports car and a full size sports sedan. But if a performance sedan is what i wanted i would just wait a little for the 600hp hybrid Alfa Romeo GTV coupe. If Bmw would offer the front wheels with 150 hp electric motor combined with the Rear Drivetrain that would be the ultimate in performance. Don't need much batteries as the front would only be for quick temporary uses.
