Hello all,
I have already wrote a thread here however my question was not understood well.
I was asking, whether all g80s and g82s have the upshift roar? It is played through the speakers (most likely) and many videos have it.
I have a theory that 2021 M4s do not have it, however 2022 and onwards do. Could that be possible?

I don't mean like the upshift bang that tuned cars have, this upshift growl is on fully stock g80s and g82s. I am just wondering whether some people turned it off maybe or if it is just a part of some package or whatever.

It doesn't, the fart is from the speaker.

I also looking for a way to get real fart.

I believe only 19 x3m x4m have the real fart stock.

I’m pretty sure my 2024 M4 does the fart on upshifts when in sport or sport plus. It’s obviously not as loud outside as in the car but someone mentioned to me they heard it from outside the car. Will have to test this and see for sure.

If I understand correctly what you are wanting, you can do this in XHP by editing the torque reduction between shifts.

Really? can you turn off ASD completely and test?

As I known after 20~21' when LCI they remove all fart for s58 due to strict regulations.

Thats why the first gen s58 for x3m x4m much louder than now.

You can easily found a lot of PFL X3m X4m have loud fart, but LCI no.

The "fart" as you refer to it is a result of one of the Software Upgrades released by BMW since the inception of the G80/82. There has been a number of them over the years and I don't know which one introduced the "fart". I bought a 21 in March of that year and it did not have the "fart". There was a Software Upgrade released sometime later which did not include it. In June of 22 I no longer owned that car. I took possession of a 23 G82 in September of 22 that had been built in July and the Software in that car included the "fart". I remember being pleasantly surprised when leaving the dealership. It was that noticeable. All of the Software Upgrades since then have retained the "fart".

I’m in North America (Canada) so maybe there is a difference between EU cars tuning with OPF versus NA (no OPF)
