Cutting grille mesh for acc

OK, I've searched to the nth degree, and can't find any answers here. I swear, there's not a single picture in existence of an uninstalled grille with trimmed mesh for acc.

I got my grille today, but the vendor didn't cut the mesh. I'm thinking I'll just make a cardboard template with the stock grille installed, and go from there, but I'd love to see where others have landed, as a guide. No way I'm messing with recalibration, so the tumor is definitely staying plugged in / I'll be cutting enough so this just slides over.

Anyone have a Pic?

This was pretty painless. Sharing here for the archives. Marked it off in chalk, and cut with tin snips.

Curious how u attached the mesh to the grill (double sided tape?) and around the acc radar. Wouldnt it start bending around the ACC radar with the lack of support and the air flow

The mesh is pretty solid - while it's flexible, it's also pretty rigid when adhered around the edges - mine is glued down, with some additional adhesive brackets holding it down.

I cut it so that on the top, it rests on the sensor cover - it's not going to go anywhere.

I had the same concern, but it's not going anywhere.

(I'll take some installed pics)

Do you actually have to cut it? My understanding was the ACC sensor sits on the bottom of the bumper and these insert in from behind, so the mesh should be behind the unit anyway, no?

Nope. The acc is mounted to the front end, not the bumper. Has to be cut.

Nice, looks great! I did the same mesh on my grill and ducts in December. I used double sided 3M to attach in case I changed my mind down the road, which actually happened as I've since removed the duct mesh (seemed pointless).

The only issue I have now is trying to cover up all of the chips on the mesh. I looked it over the other day and the paint is flaking off all over. I'm thinking some Testers model paint will work for touch ups.
