BMW of Beaumont

THEY ARE SELLING THIS CRASHED M3, BUT THEY ARE REPORTING NO ACCIDENTS ON THE CARFAX. This car had 12k in damages, but the CARFAX says it has never been in an accident. The vehicle in the pictures below was my old car. BMW of Beaumont crashed the car at the break-in service, and they ordered my a new one. However, they still made me pay for a bunch of additional stuff to even get the new car. They have been the least helpful people. They are selling g the car for 97k, even though it has a wreck on it. DO NOT BUY THIS CAR, THEY ARE TRYING TO SCAM YOU. VIN#WBS43AY08RFR67140. Please do not let someone get scammed by them.

Why would they take your car on the road after an oil change?

I remember this post when it happened a few months ago.

Post this info in a Google maps review for their dealership location. More people will see it there.

Also, just contact CARFAX and report it. Simple…

hey! Clean Carfax does not necessarily mean they are selling it without telling anyone about the repairs, maybe someone can call in and ask if there is a "disclosure" on the vehicle, an example would be, some dealers get demo track cars that have "disclosures" on them like repainted hood bumper and fenders, but show clean carfaxes, maybe that's how they have it, as a disclosure that the car was repaired

My dealer refused to not test drive after the required break in maintenance/oil change.

I hated it - they dirtied everything.

I thought it was standard that dealerships drove them after oil changes? The fact that they're trying to hide the damage is super shady. Looks like it was just bad luck though. To me, that looks like a lower speed t bone.

If I remember, it was wrecked while it was parked. They backed into it.

When it’s all said and done, if the only damage was strictly the door and nothing else, then a complete new door and repainted “off” the car as long as it didn’t need blending, then who cares AS LONG as the new buyer is getting a good break on it. Shit, I’d be down for a super good deal due to that. But asking for full price and hiding the wreck, even if no police report was filed and keeping it off CARFAX is kind of shifty by this dealer.

Wish we knew the whole story…

Owner is clearly not happy with the dealership. Course, who would be if their dealership damaged their car.

But, the post is crashing a Brand New car which is incorrect - it’s a used car. If this damaged had occurred prior to the initial sale, it would likely never have been known by the buyer. Carfax only shows what’s been reported to them, hence is ‘accurate’. Will the damage show up on Carfax at a later date? Probably not. Should the dealer disclose the damage to potential buyers? Of course. Will they?

But, If I’m buying the car, I would want a discount and not have the damage on the Carfax….

The car was bought new from this dealer. I’m curious why the owner didn’t reach a financial agreement with the dealer and keep the car (owner doesn’t seem happy with the conditions of getting a new car).

Probably because the owner wanted an unmolested car and idiots at the dealership fucked up his ride at 1200 miles man. Then they probably shrugged it off to like “it’s a car, we’ll just fix it”, what’s the big deal? Owner told them fuck off and that they wanted a replacement just like it or he’ll sue them or some junk and dealership found some way to still rip him off because of the bad blood. I’d be pretty pissed if I worked hard for a new M and some dickbag ruined it on their lot for not being mindful… especially when it’s that new. Frankly I’m not surprised this dealer is this shady in trying to sell this car as non-damaged and for a premium, given the original story thread or post from a few weeks ago.

Ah. Thanks!

Like I said. Wish we knew the whole story.

Absolutely sucks for the owner.

But was this negligence or an accident/human error? If someone backed into the car, that’s a lot different that the oil tech joy riding the car and getting in a wreck. Doesn’t make a difference in terms of liability but it does in terms of the dealership’s reputation.

Owner apparently wanted a new car. Seemed ok with the process two weeks after the incident. Then, almost four months later (I’m guessing his new car has arrived) he makes a new account and blasts the dealer for wrecking his car; not reporting the damage to Carfax, accusing the dealer of not disclosing the damage to potential buyers and complaining that the dealer ‘made him pay for additional stuff’ to get the new car.

Like I said, sucks for the owner but somewhere this issue went further sideways.

Still not understanding why any dealer needs to drive a car after an oil change.

Mine didn’t drive. Just from work bay to the drop off/pick up area. Nothing more then that.

I’ve been told it’s to make sure there are no differential noises after changing the differential fluid.
