man, last time i was at the welt, i knew I had to do ED, but when it was time to buy my car, they already canceled it! I rented an A class wagon while in Munich and drove to Austria. It was such an awesome trip!

[QUOTE=Vectors2final;30949363]Congrats! Beautiful color.

Seeing this is sad as I kinda wish ED was still a thing. I missed the boat when I didn't do this for my F80.m

It’s unfortunate now i heard we can no longer collect Germany made cars at performance center anymore. I mean does BMW care about its enthusiasts anymore? Luckily i have been blessed enough to have done both before BMW gutted them

BMW has not updated the website, but they did open it back up to German-made cars. There is dealer instructions on the updated process, but many CA/Dealerships are unaware for whatever reason.

See my post here.

Nice! Have fun!

We visited the Welt and Museum last year - but not quite as exciting of a day.

Congrats! Beautiful color combo.

This gives me flashbacks of my ED in 2018. My day at Welt was amazing. If it was still around, I would have done it with my G80 in a heartbeat.

You're talking PCD for German-built cars, correct? Not ED.

Hey guys I am quite new here. For a long time I was dreaming to get back into the BMW Team. Since 18 years old I have owned an e36 convertible and an e90 318i. After that I have switched teams to Ford Performance and bought a brand new 2017 Ford Focus RS. After 5 happy years I have decided to let go and sold it. Pretty fast it got really clear to me what to get next. I mean the G80 is truly a dream car.
Now a year later the day has finally come to collect my new dream car at the BMW Welt Munich

I could not be happier. The spec is my dream spec. And also its quite rare (at least here in Germany).

Looking forward to further conversations here on Bimmerpost!
Congrats on the new G80, great color combo.

I've been dreaming about doing a European Delivery, but now Canadian dealers do not offer it.

So instead we just went to Munich and visited the Welt!

Little update:

So far the silverstone leather is very forgiving. No marks or else from the baby seat. My son is only 1 month old but you can definetly tell that he much prefers to drive in the M3 compared to the Tesla. 😂
I am now even happier with my color choices, the Aventurine Red really is the perfect color. This is the view from my kitchen window. Every time I make a delicous Cappuccino I have this sweet apple candy red beast. Better than every cake or cookie.😜

Again thanks for all the comments!

Wish bmw brought back euro delivery especially for cars still made in Germany. I did the performance center delivery and it definitely wasn’t the same.

Der ultimative bayerische Mistwagen!

I like the ivory interior.

Maybe we will cross paths on the A3.

When we picked up a 530 M touring, I interviewed the staff at BMW Welt. I’m in the process of writing an article for “Roudel” magazine. A great deal of logistics holding it back.

What logistics? It was all already in place a few short years ago.

Once stopped, restarting the process of shipping, insurance, admistrative documentation to drive the car in Europe, in addition to rehiring staff that was released with the drop in the program, made it very complicated.

That is a bit of a bogus excuse though and giving the easy way out answer. They could easily start it back up without much difficulty. It’s not like they have to re-invent all the logistics and establish the necessary partnerships again to make the program work.

If there was a huge organized effort to pursue this, it could be done as it is with Porsche. In my opinion, the best way to approach this is through the BMWCCA and have club members petition BMW NA and BMW in Germany.
