Glad your ok Will and sorry about your car. At least you got a nice fleet to keep you busy until the M4 is back and better than ever.
Thanks man. You know the funny thing is that this incident kind of makes me like the car even more that its like we went through something together so I don't want a new m4 replacement or like for them to total it out. I want my car and to make it better than before... Can't wait to get it back.

True that, where I live, you see deer on the side of the road hit daily. A deer came out the woods and ran right into door of my dad's car and there is no way you cam avoid it.

Glad you’re okay!

Also very cool you hold the M4 in high regard given the cars you’ve had and still have. It “Will” be back better than before!

Long time subscriber and the name is still relevant!

But look cars can be replaced. We can’t replace you. So I am glad you’re safe and live to fight another day. Just next time try to hit them. It will feel very odd and not right but you will miss them. Ive actually done it with Moose and Elk.
LOL, pretty obvious you don't live in deer country, depending on the roadside greenery, they can be in front of you so fast you can't even get the "oh" in "oh shit" out before bang! And theirs's nothing like the excitement of having a buck fly, literally, across the road in front you at a dead run so close you can count his belly hairs.

Appreciate you! Yea I miss the car more than I miss my Huracan which is crazy but I don't know the car is just well done with so much potential to keep making it better which is fun.

New to an "appendage" measuring contest? If so, the intent is to bring the "appendage", not be the "appendage".

Please share your additional tips so that we may all come close to be a superior driver like yourself.

I grew up in moose country, I would never swerve into an animal that stands six feet tall, with the bulk of that legs, and often weighs over half a ton. That ratio is ideal to take the impact at windshield level.

I'm 50. But my thought process was:

Brake and hope to reduce impact but don't slam brakes too hard to get hit from behind.
Don't swerve at speed and braking at same time or you could lose control of the vehicle
Hopefully I don't hit the deer too hard

But all of that happened within like 2 seconds of impact when the deer appeared waltzing out onto the highway from the dark. There were also no lights on this particular stretch of road just my headlights.

I could have braked harder potentially, or swerved but my thoughts of something worse possibly happening prevented me from doing either.
You did everything you could, sometimes, it's just a bad day 😔. Love your channel, long-time subscriber

What if it had been a person? I guess what I’m saying is that… evasive maneuvers will save the deer and the car. I’ve had it happen… you can steer while braking hard and not hit one. Keep your driving aides On and you can zoom right around them.

This board sure has come a long way from when we started and only had the Pandemic and trolls talking about the front grills.

Now we have real life Speed Racers capable of avoiding speeding animals at 90mph and everything in-between.

OP, good luck and sorry for your misfortune. I like your choice of Chalk on your GTS, I have a 992 tts coming in same color.

Glad you're ok, Will. Adro incoming. Sucks that it happened, but, I'd rather it be the G82 than the 911T or GTS.

I was always told not to swerve to avoid animals on roads as you have more chance of spinning out/crashing with road obstacles like trees etc

Not true. You should always swerve for rhinos & hippos.
