bolster protectors.

to get in I more/less flop in.

to get out, I vault out with my left hand on the door sill and my right hand on the steering wheel or door frame.

The fact that this post exists…. but people say the carbon buckets are fine for a DD.

Heated and adjustable. About the only compromise, other than cost, is getting in and out. It’s really not that big of a deal.

This is the same process I use... Black buckets with the bolster protector isn't so bad... Butt first on entry... Left hand on the sill, and right hand on the outside of the steering wheel for exit...

I'm 6'2" 240 and love the buckets! It is a weekend car, so I would probably rethink if it was a daily. Mostly for passengers in and out. I dropped my 13y/o daughter off at school the other day and a teacher had to pull her out as we were on a bit of an incline

I might have to try pushing off the door seal/center console as others noted. I've only had my car about a week, so I'm still learning. But I think I got the basic movement down.

I ordered my car and fully spec’d it out with every option I found necessary like extended leather (minus the carbon buckets). Sat in my friends car with the carbon buckets and made zero sense for a daily driver that will never see the track.

They look great but I’m 6’1, 215 lbs. I don’t understand why people think everybody that doesn’t have the buckets wanted them but couldn’t? ‘23 Comp xDrive. $4.5k on a $90k car is nothing. I just find it funny that everybody says they are fine for DD but need to buy bolsters and talk about how to get in and out of a seat (and think it’s a normal talking point).

No, it’s not that owners couldn’t get them, it’s that owners who don’t have them seem to think they know what it’s like to have them.

Same for manual vs auto…

If you have extended leather you missed a box for full leather 😉

Definitely makes sense. Either way, it was a light hearted response to a heated subject. I plan to trade my car in for a LCI ‘25 Comp xDrive and still go back and forth about the carbon buckets.

Makes me lean towards no whenever I see posts like this pop up. Mainly for my quick trips to the grocery store or when I’m dressed up in a suit and look like a fool struggling to get out of the car, lol.

Lol, we all know how confusing this option is made to sound in the configurator.

Yup, full leather is at the end of the interior options.

I didn't mean to get peeps all wound up over the subject. I was merely asking as I am considering a M3CS which only have the carbon buckets. Not that I care, but just wondering how foolish I will look when getting in or out with nice clothes on and the Mrs. having a dress on... I already know now, from some of you witty posts.

Thank you ALL for your input. I LOVE THIS FORUM!
